Simply Inspired Artfully Sent Blog Hop

Welcome to the Simply Inspired Artfully Sent Blog Hop!  I'm sure you will not be disappointed!  We are working with the brand new CTMH/Cricut Collection called Artfully Sent. This cartridge is full of over 700 images, including more than 50 each of cut out cards, pop up cards, scene cards, and pocket cards, as well as icons, envelopes and even a font!  If you don't already have a Close To My Heart Consultant of your own, you can purchase your cartridge right here on my website.

5" x 7" card made by Karen Pedersen with the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge

If you have come here from my friend, the dynamite Diana Veenendaal's blog, you are on the right path. This blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

Today I've chosen to create a fun Love card.  I know it's not really time to start thinking about making valentines yet, but any time is a great time for LOVE!
  • I cut a 5" x 7" card base out of Cranberry cardstock.
  • I then cut the "LOVE" image 3 times, once each on Cranberry Cardstock, Cotton Candy Cardstock, and a piece of B&T paper from the Blushed Paper Packet at 6 1/4".  I used page 35 of the new Artfully Sent booklet.

  • Then, using my sanding kit, I gently sanded each of the pieces.
  • Using my Micro-Tip Scissors, I carefully cut the "L" and "E" out of the Cranberry piece and the Heart out of the B&T paper. I then adhered those to the Cotton Candy cutout.
  • I then added a smaller heart (also page 35 {Icon}).
  • I used the twine from the Ruby Mini Medley Collection to add a bow around the middle.
  • I also used a couple of Epoxy Hearts as accents.
  • I mounted this whole focal point piece on a slightly larger piece of White Daisy Cardstock and rounded the corners.
  • I used my 3D foam tape to pop the large B&T heart (a little off centered) as well as popping the whole focal piece.
  • To finish off the card, I embossed a sentiment in white on the inside of the card. I love using white embossing on a colored card!  It really makes the sentiment pop!
Now hop on over to another friend's blog, the delightful Denise Anderson-Turley, to see her work!  Be sure to visit all of the Close To My Heart Consultants in the hop to get some great crafting ideas.  There are 16 of us hoppin' this time and you won't want to miss a single project.

Such a cute card and cutting the letters out separately was so clever. They just pop in this card. Love it Karen!
