Spring Summer 2014 Close To My Heart Catalog/Idea Book

If you have come here from the oh-so-creative Katy Taylor's blog you are on the right path. This blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

I chose to create a layout of my hubby and boys pheasant hunting in December using the new Timberline Collection and a few other marvelously masculine coordinating products. I love this paper and think it's great for so many things. Obviously camping, hunting, fishing, boating, and anything outdoors will work, but so will so many other things. I actually plan to use some of the wood print sheets from the Timberline paper pack for a shabby-chic sign in book I am doing for my son, Tannon's wedding next month. I'll share that when it's done as well.  That wood doesn't have to look rustic, it can look shabby-chic as well.  In fact, scroll back up and take a look at the cover of the new Idea Book. Can you see where some of that paper was used?  Think outside the box!

The new products I used are: the Timberline Paper Pack, the Timberline Complements Coordinating Adhesive Sheets, the Timberline Assortment, the Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment, Topiary Mini Chevron Ribbon and the cool new Durables Triangle Studs.

A few of the new products I used
See that fun paper in the bottom of the photo collage above?  It is our new Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment and I have LOVED playing with it!  One side is a neutral and white geometric print and the other side is a tone on tone embossed print.  I took my slate pad and rubbed it on the tone on tone embossed side (you can see the paper I used in the top right photo in the collage above. It's the paper just under the bottom right corner of the stamp pad to create a cool effect.  Can you see where I used it on the layout?

Here are a few detail shots of the layout I created:
