3 1/2" x 8" card by Karen Pedersen |
October is almost over and with it goes the scrumptious
October Stamp of the Month. This swell set is yours for only $5 ($17.95 value) with each $50 you spend on a single order (before shipping and tax). What a bargain! When ordering on
my website, you'll be prompted to add your set(s) before you check out. Don't miss it. This set is no longer available after 11:50 pm (MT) on October 31.
Not sure what to spend your $50 on? Why not on some of the supplies that I used to create this card? There is a products used list, complete with photos and links at the end of this post.
Also, don't forget that this month, when you spend $50 or more, you also get a FREEBIE from Close To My Heart...a surprise embellishement. WOO HOO!
In addition to share this card today, I thought I'd share a little bit of what has been happening this week in the Pedersen home. It's been a crazy fun week!
I went down to Cedar City, UT to help tend our little granddaughter, Sage for a few days. Her mommy, Daysha was dancing and singing in the yearly production by Odyssey Dance Theater of "Thriller" for the week and was busy morning to night with rehearsals and performances. Easton had school and football and was gone much of the week as well. I loved spending a few days with Sage!

While there, I got to go and see Daysha in "Thriller." The whole production was amazing, but Daysha was the best part (and I'm not the least bit biased!). Before the production began, a zombie came and sat down beside me. Instead of screaming, I decided to get a picture!

Daysha danced as a zombie in the opening number.

She sang as Giggle Girl (a creepy, evil little girl).

And, she was a vampire mermaid in a haunted pirate ship dance number.

Saturday was the Southern Utah University vs. University of North Dakota football game. Both Easton and Tannon play for SUU and we got a big win (35-17). Kori was even able to come down for the game so 3 of our 4 kids were there together. Kori's husband, Rick even stayed home with the kids so Kori could make the 3 hour drive to Cedar City and enjoy a day with grown ups. THANKS, Rick!

The only one of our kids missing for the the game was Dawson, who, as many of you know, is serving a 2 year mission for our church in Australia. He's been out 17 months now. Only 7 more to go. He gets home early June. Here are a couple of pictures from his week in Australia.

We drove home from Cedar City to Springville late Saturday night so my husband, Dan-the-Man, could be home to be put in the bishopric at our church on Sunday. Several of our family members were able to be there to support him. It was a special day!

We didn't have a ton of notice that Dan was being called to this position, so unfortunately not all of our family could be there. Tannon and Brookley were throwing a Halloween party for the married players on the SUU team and their spouses that evening. Invitations had already gone out. Easton decided to come up anyway and let Sage be Daysha's date. A great time was had by all!

What a week you had! so many wonderful moments in your days. I had to look up what this meant for Dan...congratulations to him on this calling! I think I would have freaked out if a zombie sat by me!! 7 months and your family will all be together again. How exciting that is for you!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have had a very busy week!! I sent you an e-mail at the address you have listed on your sidebar but never got a reply. If you are unable to participate as requested, I need to find someone else, but I'd hate to pass you over only to find you were just too busy to respond at the time. Please contact me at 4beccaw@gmail.com if you can't find my original e-mail. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! The gingham ribbon was a perfect touch!
