Simply Fundamentals Scrapbook Layout Number Three



I used the Simply Fundamental Scrapbooking special kit to create this layout. Easy Peasy! The kit includes a workshop (that I will email you the instructions for once you purchase the special) and all I did was use the cutting guide and instructions to create this layout. The workshop includes everything you need for 5 two-page layouts.  It took me less than 3 hours to cut the papers and put all 5 layouts together! WOO HOO!  I really love how this one turned out!

I'll be sharing one of the layouts, complete with my photos and journaling added, each week in November.  This is the third one.You can see the first one here and the second one here.

Join Me on Creative Live This Friday and Saturday



Have you ever heard of Creative Live (creativelive.com)?  It's an awesome online, live streaming website that offers live classes in the crafting industry all the time. When watching live, it's totally FREE!  It only costs $ if you want to go back and watch a recorded class.

Close To My Heart is being featured on Creative Live this coming Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21st from 9 am - 4 pm (Pacific Time).  And, on top of that, they asked me to come be a part of it.  I will be in the audience on Friday, but will be on camera teaching on Saturday. Dream Big Layout with November Stamp of the Month


You may look at the November Stamp of the Month and think it is a Happy New Year stamp set, and it is...but it is so much more!  I loved using it for this layout of Dawson. He returned home from his 2-year mission for our church in Australia a few months ago and is setting goals for 2016. I loved this photo of him with Stade (Kori's newest little one) and it made me think of all of the things he will be doing in 2016, and beyond: going to college, beginning college football, dating, choosing a major, and so much more.  Seeing him so sweet and gentle with Stade reminded me that he will eventually be choosing a wife and will be a husband and a father one day.  I couldn't help but scrapbook those thoughts and feelings and all of the exciting things that await him in 2016.  I have included a few detail shots of the layout later in the post, and have added a list of all the products I used, complete with photos and links, at the very end of the post.  Enjoy!

December Play Group Scrappin' Class Layouts (White Pines)




The deadline to order your long-distance kits or sign up to attend December classes in person is Saturday, November 14, by 10 pm MT.  Just call or email me to sign up (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com).

We'll be making three 2-page 12" x 12" classy holiday layouts with the brand new White Pines paper pack and matching accessories.  These layouts are perfect for holiday photos! 

December Dates and Times to Choose From:

  • Thursday evening, December 3 from 7-10 pm in Pleasant Grove, UT
  • Friday morning, December 4 from 10 am - 1 pm in American Fork, UT
After the layout photos, you'll find the shopping list.  In order to participate, you are only required to purchase the Basic Kit, but you are more than welcome to buy the Better or Best Kits, or to pick and choose from some of those items to add to your Basic Kit.  You'll see the kit totals in the shopping list below. I've also included a products list, complete with photos and links, at the end of this post for your convenience.
