July Stamp of the Month - Storybook Alphabet

For this card, I embossing the letters by first stamping them with a Versamark Pad, sprinkling our Super Fine White Embossing Powder on top, shaking off the excess, and heating with my heat gun. Easy peasy, and such a fun look (love me some white embossing on colored paper!).  I finished it off by coloring in the letters with my Marine Blue Shin Han Marker.  Voila!  I have added a list of all of the products I've used on this card, complete with links and photos for your convenience, at the very end of this post.

Licking Beaters Layout

Did you grow up licking the beaters while your mom cooked? I certainly did. I can remember sitting up on the counter and eating cake batter and cookie dough off of the beaters when my mom baked. I did the same for my children.  I came across these cute photos of my two oldest kids doing just that not long ago.  Kori was 5 and Easton was 2 1/2.  They are now 31 and 28.  Time flies!  I thought these cute photos deserved their own scrapbook page. I mean, those memories meant so much to me, and I hope they do to them as well.

I used the July Stamp of the Month (Storybook Alphabet) for the white embossed title, then used one other alphabet stamp set (Jennifer's Hand Alphabet).  All three sets are so versatile and could be used for just about any layout.  I'll show you each set and tell you a bit about each.

Each letter is approximately 1" tall.  Great for titles!

2.  Jennifer's Hand Alphabet: This alphabet is a font that mixes with just about any font. Each of these letters are approximately 1/2" tall. I love this alphabet for smaller things.  You can see I've used it to stamp and emboss the word "licking".  Fun!

I have included a complete list of all of the products I used on this layout, as well as photos and links for your convenience, at the end of this post.  Here is a collage of some of the close up details of this layout. 

• I am a  huge fan of white embossing on colored paper, so I did that with this layout quite a bit. 
• I also love mixing papers from different paper packets, especially when I have scraps left over. It's fun to pull them out and see what can coordinate. With this layout, I used scraps from the Jack Paper Packet, No Worries Paper Packet, and the Rustic Home Fundamentals Paper Packet.  I love how it all came together. 
• I also pulled out my Jack Complements, as well as my School K-6 Complements, and my School 7-12 Complements, and used some from each of those packets that I had left over after other projects.   
• What I'm trying to say is not to forget your left overs! Quite often they can pull together to create something beautiful!
