July Stamp of the Month - Storybook Alphabet

For this card, I embossing the letters by first stamping them with a Versamark Pad, sprinkling our Super Fine White Embossing Powder on top, shaking off the excess, and heating with my heat gun. Easy peasy, and such a fun look (love me some white embossing on colored paper!).  I finished it off by coloring in the letters with my Marine Blue Shin Han Marker.  Voila!  I have added a list of all of the products I've used on this card, complete with links and photos for your convenience, at the very end of this post.

Create Your Own Patterned Paper

Do you ever have a background paper in mind, but you just don't have it? Never fear! Make it!  I had the perfect yellow diamond background paper for the bottom diagonal of this card, but I just  knew what I wanted on top, and what I imagined in my head was no where to be found in reality.  I just pulled out my trust ruler and journaling pen and created a grid background. I then used a few Shin Han Alcohol Markers to color in some of the grids to match my card. Easy, peasy!

 I used my watercolor paints to color in my fox and flowers.  I just can't get enough of watercoloring!

Hello Love Card

Now, back to this card and what I used to make it.  I mostly used patterned papers from the Prickly Pear Paper Packet with a little Thistle Cardstock mixed in.  The cloud print came from our Little Dreamer Paper Packet. I've included a list of of all of the products I've used, as well as photos and links for your convenience, at the end of this post.  I really like the look of different widths of strips as a background, don't you?  Not only is it effective, but it's also a great way to use up extra scraps of paper.  WOO HOO!

I used watercolor paints to paint in my wreath and fox after stamping them in our awesome Black Memento Ink.  I also cut that little fox out and used Thin 3D Foam Tape to mount him on the wreath for a little bit more depth.
