All Occasion Yummy Card + Great Card Pattern For Using Scraps

I love this card!  Do you know why?  Yes, because I think it turned out cute, but also because it's a perfect card design to use up scraps. Admit it! You have them.  Throwing away even the tiniest piece of paper is like losing one of your children. Right? Okay, maybe not that traumatic, but traumatic all the same. *wink*

This is a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card. Each of the little rectangles that make up the "tic tac toe" board are 1 1/4" x 1".  Grab a blank card, choose a few scrap papers that coordinate, cut them down, draw some lines, and find a fun focal point to add to the corner.  Voila!

I made this card using the National Scrapbooking Month papers and stamps that Close To My Heart is making available during May only. Today I thought I'd share another card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") I created using the May Stamp of the Month - Just Sayin'.  I just stamped the squares in Canary Ink and Glacier Ink and cut them in half diagonally and adhered them to bottom edge of a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of White Daisy Cardstock to create the pattern.  I then adhered that to the front of a Whisper Cardstock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card.  On a scrap of White Daisy Cardstock, I stamped the little striped banner and the cloud shaped label and cut those puppies out. I stamped the word "you" to the far right of the label and then added a puffy heart from the Chalk It Up Assortment. I then adhered those to the front of the card.  I did pop up the cloud label with 3D Foam Tape for some added interest.  Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy!

Pinwheel Quilt Card with the May Stamp of the Month

For some reason, when I saw the May Stamp of the Month and the cute patterned shapes, I immediately thought of a quilt (maybe because my daughter is a quilter).  I love how this 6" x 6" card turned out. I wish making a quilt was as easy and making a quilt card!

To get the pinwheels, I just stamped the chevron patterned square stamp image in Canary, Whisper and Glacier inks, cut them out, and then in half diagonally.  I mounted them on White Daisy Cardstock squares and created my "quilt." Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy!

Sour Faces Layout and Pucker Up Card with Taste of Summer

We at Close To My Heart are celebrating National Scrapbooking Month (May) with a beautiful  matching paper packet and stamp set called Taste of Summer that is only available this month (while supplies last).  Today I am sharing some lemony projects.  The products I used to create them are listed, with photos and links for your convenience, at the end of this post.
