Standard (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") Card by Karen Pedersen with the September 2014 Stamp of the Month |
I have another card to share today. Yay!
Want one free? Read on for details!
I created this standard card using the September Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart. I also used the rich, warm papers from the CTMH Pathfinding Paper Packet. I love that this collection mixes in a little bit of blue (Glacier) with all of the warm, Fall colors. It's the perfect contrast!
I shared how to do the ombre stamping I used on the heart in
this post. I learned it from Jennifer McGuire. I've included a link in said post to her ombre stamping tutorial video.
I have included a products used list with photos and links at the end of this post for your convenience.
I have 3 of these cards sitting on my desk waiting to be sent. Be one of the first 3 people to order $40 or more (before shipping and tax) from my website today and I'll send you one of these little puppies to express my appreciation. Head on over to my website to order now!
This stamp set is only available in September.
You can purchase it at full price ($17.95) by using order #S1409, or you can get it for only $5 when spending $50 or more. Spend $100 and get 2, etc. All qualifying purchase amounts are before shipping and tax. When ordering on
my website, you'll be prompted to add your $5 set(s) before you check out. Convenient!
Here's a little detail pic of my card:
A few little details to notice on this card:
- I created the tone-on-one background on the Glacier Cardstock strip using the top of the tree. Nifty! I just inked that bugger up with Glacier Ink and stamped it, turning different directions on the cardstock. I loved the effect.
- I used the ombre stamping on the heart. Jennifer McGuire's tutorial video is here.
- I really wanted to add some little blue sparkles to my heart but all I had were clear sparkles. Did you know that you can use our new Shin Han Alcohol Markers to color sparkles? No? Well, now you know! I used my Cerulean Blue Light marker and colored the sparkles while they were still on their carrier sheet. I waited about 1 minute and then put them on my card. Isn't that a fun little trick?
