Last Day for March Specials

I created this card with the March Stamp of the Month

Today is the last day to take advantage of the wonderful March specials.  At 11:59 pm (MT) the gong sounds and all of these deals are but a memory.

Here's a quick reminder so you don't miss out:

1.  STAMPAGANZA!!! (March 1-31)
2.  March Stamp of the Month (March 1-31)
3.  Hello Paradise Stamp Set (only through March 31)
--------------

1.  STAMPAGANZA!!!:  Yes, I'm yelling...in a good way!  Seriously, this special only comes around every few years, so NOW is the time to take advantage of it.

During March, order two stamp sets and get a third set of equal or lesser value free. You and your customers can qualify for multiple free stamp sets on a single order, but the free stamp sets will always be the lowest-priced sets on the order. Stamp of the Month sets, Hostess Rewards sets, and the Animal Greetings stamp set are excluded from this special offer.   Buy 2, get 1 free. Buy 4, get 2 free. Buy 6, get 3 free...and so on!  Head on over to my website and start ordering!

When ordering on my website, just enter all of the stamp sets you want and before you check out the lowest price set(s) will be zeroed out on your total.  Easy, peasy.

2.  March Stamp of the Month - Sunshine Birdies:  This fun, springy set is great for cards and layouts alike (like the one at the top of this post created by the oh-so-talented Close To My Heart Art Department)!  It's only $5 ($12.95 savings) with every $50 you order (before shipping and tax).  Order $100, get 2...and so on.
Here's a close up of the card I created at the top of the post using this stamp set:

When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add your set(s) before checking out.  This set of 11 includes sentiments, cute little bird stamps, a sun, branch, a few butterflies, and some musical notes. That's a lot of bang for your five bucks, I'd say!  Click here to be taken to the set on my website.

3.  Hello, Paradise Special Stamp Set: As many of you know, I just got back from a week long cruise in the Eastern Caribbean with Close To My Heart. One of the gifts the company gave to each cruise earner was a beautiful stamp set called Hello Paradise.  It was such a hit, they are offering this set to YOU, for only a couple of weeks. This stamp set will go away on March 31, at the stroke of midnight, mountain time (do you feel like Cinderella?).  This set is perfect for tropical vacations, beachy/summery cards, and so much more!

Happy Mail and Stampaganza

I have been receiving happy mail by the boat load the last couple of weeks. Since our granddaughter, Livvi's leukemia diagnosis, so many of the ladies on my Close To My Heart team (The Pacemakers...'cause we keep THE HEART {as in Close To My Heart} pumpin'!) have been showering me with beautiful handmade cards with the sweetest handwritten notes of comfort and encouragement inside.  I truly have the best team around.

I thought I'd share one of the cards I got yesterday with you. This was created by Mary Newman. Isn't it gorgeous?!!!  The floral stamp set she is used is one of my favorites!  It's called Springtime Wishes.

This month is a great time to get it with Stampaganza going on (for every 2 stamp sets you purchase, you get the third of equal or lesser value for FREE!).  Stampaganza ends at 11:59 pm (MT) on March 31.  When ordering on my website, just put in all of the stamp sets (and everything else) you want, and before you pay, the lowest prices set(s) will be zeroed out on your order. Easy peasy!

Don't you love how Mary looped the twine under the flowers? I do!  And those colors...breathtaking!  She used the Charlotte Paper Packet.

Spring 6" x 6" Card with the March Stamp of the Month

The March Stamp of the Month has been so much fun to use!  I created this 6" x 6" card using only stamps from that set, and some great papers from the Whimsy Paper Fundamentals Cardstock pack.  On this card, I used the printed side of each paper, but the back side is a tone-on-tone emboss of the same exact pattern. So cool, and oh-so-versatile.

To color in my bird and branch, I used my trusty watercolor paints and brushes. It's kind of hard to see on here because I wanted it to be really light and subtle, but the background is also very lightly washed with a light blue watercolor.  I've included a comprehensive products used list at the end of this post, along with photos and links for your convenience. Also, I stamped my little birdie twice. The second one I cut out and mounted with 3D foam tape over the first one.  Every bird needs a little 'pop,' don't you think?

This wonderful Stamp of the Month is only available during March and is only $5 ($12.95 savings) with every $50 you order (before shipping and tax).  Order $100, get 2...and so on. When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add your set(s) before checking out.  So convenient!

Watercolor Plaid Card

I decided to do a little experimenting with my watercolor paints and see if I could come up with a fun plaid background for this 5" x 7" card. I was pretty pleased with the results. It's not perfect, but that's kind of the "thing" with watercolors. I like that some parts are lighter, some are darker, and that some lines are a little squiggly.

I used the March Stamp of the Month with this card.  Don't forget this set is available only in March and is only $5 ($12.95 savings) with each $50 you order (before shipping and tax).  Order $100, get 2...and so on. When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add your set(s) before checking out.

I even used my watercolors to paint the words and the center of the sun.  I actually stamped the sun twice, once on the card and once on a scrap piece of watercolor paper. I then painted the center of the sun on my scrap, cut it out, and mounted it with 3D Foam Tape on my card. I really like that little "pop".

Livvi and Leukemia

Last week, we received the devastating news that our little 4-year old granddaughter, Livvi was diagnosed with Leukemia.  It has been a week that we will never forget. The good news is that she has about a 90% chance of beating this!  The bad news is that she has leukemia, it will be about a 2 1/2 year battle, and it will be rough. She has already spent much of the last week in the hospital, is on high doses of steroids, has had several rounds of chemo, and has been poked and prodded more than most people in a lifetime. We are so fortunate to live here in Utah where we are able to get her cared for at Primary Children's Hospital.  These are some of the best pediatric oncologists in the world.

I share this with all of you for a few reasons:
  1. If you are inclined to remember Livvi and her family in your prayers, we would appreciate it more than you know!
  2. I know that many of you reading this blog have 'gotten to know' my family over the years through my posts.  This is part of our family now, and we will be sharing it along with everything else.  This is a battle we are all fighting with Livvi.  You can follow posts on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #livstrong
  3. Our daughter, Kori and her hubby, Rick (Livvi's parents) have started a blog to detail Livvi's journey.  They know that when Livvi is older and has beaten this nasty disease, she will want to be able to look back and see what happened, how her parents felt, etc.  We thought you might want to follow along.  The blog address is:  www.livstrongblog.wordpress.com.  There are about 5 or 6 posts already, so if you would like to follow from the beginning, just scroll down to the first post and work your way up.
As a grandma, I would do just about anything to take this away from our girl. I love her so much and would gladly switch places with her.  This sweet, tender little girl has more fight in her that she even knows yet.

Limited Time Only Stamp Set for Stampaganza

As many of you know, I just got back from a week long cruise in the Eastern Caribbean with Close To My Heart. One of the gifts the company gave to each cruise earner was a beautiful stamp set called Hello Paradise.  It was such a hit, they are offering this set to YOU, for only a couple of weeks. On top of the fact that this set is only available until March 31, you might remember that Stampaganza (for every 2 stamp sets you purchase in March, you get 1 of equal or lesser value for FREE) also ends at the stroke of midnight, mountain time that day. This set is perfect to add to your Stampaganza order!  Don't wait until the very last minute (like Cinderella) to take advantage of Stampaganza, get in there and order now!  You wouldn't want to be caught with one shoe at the last minute.

Just click on each category to see all of the sets that are part of it.  Also, when ordering on my website, you'll want to put in ALL of the stamp sets you want (including your free ones), and the appropriate stamp sets will be zeroed out before you check out.
