Happy Birthday Card with #30yearsofhappy Stamp Set

4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card by Karen Pedersen

I am so enjoying playing with the #30yearsofhappy stamp set that can be yours this month for FREE!  To celebrate National Stamping Month and 30 years in the stamping industry, Close To My Heart's founder and owner, Jeanette Lynton has created this fun little set full of just about everything for YOU! To earn it for FREE, you just need to spend $30 or more on stamp sets (before shipping and tax). When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add it before you check out. All of the stamps fit on a 1"x 1" acrylic block, so if you don't already have one of those, you may want to pick one up.

This little card is simple but impactful. I used just a few products to create it, but there are 2 little details I'd like to specifically point out:
  1. I used a bit of Liquid Glass to dob the center of each flower after I colored the centers with the Shin Han Peony Purple alcohol marker.  Always use our Archival Black Stamp Pad to stamp with when wanting to color with the alcohol markers, and make sure it's completely dry before coloring.
  2. The two beautiful pieces of patterned (cardstock weight) paper come from the brand new Paper Fundamentals Whimsy Assortment. I love these papers. On one side of the cardstock they have a colored pattern with a white background. On the other side you'll find the same design in a colored tone-on-tone embossed design. You'll notice on this card that I used the white and patterned side of the top 2 papers. You get 2 sheets of each of the papers you see below.

All products I used are in a list at the end of this post, with photos and links.  Enjoy!

This is so lovely. I like how you used the liquid glass to mimic enamel dots for your flowers. I have recently rediscovered my love of liquid glass. It's a genius product.

Oh, I love this one! I am finding that I am enjoying making cards with the Fundamentals, too, with these stamps. In fact, I just love the Fundamentals!!
