Sign up for FREE...and a Delicious RECIPE

Hi, Ho! I've got some SERIOUSLY good stuff to share today! First, please take the time to read about how to join my team for free. After that I'm sure your mouth will be watering and you will be hungry so keep reading for DELICIOUS recipe from my daughter (and outstanding cook), Kori.
  1. How to join my team and sign up to be a Close To My Heart Consultant for FREE during the month of February only
  2. An awesomely delicious recipe from my Kori (who got it from her wonderful cook MIL, Penny)

1. First Things First: How to join my team and sign up to be a Close To My Heart Consultant for FREE during the month of February only: Yep. You heard me right! I did say FREE! Becoming a CTMH consultant in 1/1993 was one of the best decisions (outside of marrying Dan-the-Man and having my 4 beautiful children) that I have made. Because I LOVE what I do so much, I want to share it with everyone. And, this month is BEST time to do that. Let me tell you how you can do the same thing I did 18 years ago for FREE! When you sing up to be a CTMH Consultant during February and achieve Straight To The Top*, you will receive a cash rebate of $129 on your New Consultant Kit, plus $100 in select product credit rewards. That’s a value of about $500 in products and rebates for FREE! *Straight to the Top is CTMH's AWESOME 'get started program' that helps you to earn a cool $300 within your first 90 days. Honestly, it's easy to do it in your first 30 days, maybe even your first 10-14! I show you how and help you get there! To join RIGHT NOW, click here. It only takes a minute or two and then CTMH will notify me that you are my newest team member, I'll contact you and we'll get this party started! When you join, for $129 (which, as I mentioned you get back in a cash rebate when you hit Straight to the Top) you get the basic kit plus 3 of 6 "choose me" kits. I personally recommend you choose kits #1 and #2 and then either kit #3 or #4. If you do that you have EVERYTHING you need to be successful straight out of the gates. I have included photos below of the basic kit plus all 6 of the "choose me" kits below. Again, you get the basic, plus 3 of the "choose me's" for the $129 (which you get back in a cash rebate when you hit that Straight to the Top I mentioned).

Basic Kit includes all the business materials (including catalogs, brochures, order forms, Studio J membership cards, and more) needed to get your business off the ground

Choose Me Kit #1 (Karen suggests this be one of your three "Choose Me's"): This kit includes a 1 year MyCTMH website, complete with online shopping, event calendars, an art gallery and more. Retail Value: $155.40----------------------
Choose Me Kit #2 (Karen suggests this be one of your 3 "Choose Me's": You can use exclusive patterns and papers to create beautiful Studio layouts at deeply discounted prices with this 12-month Studio J membership ($99 retail value):------------------------

Choose Me Kit #3 (Karen suggests that this or Choose Me Kit #4 be your 3rd "Choose Me"): This lively paper, sunny ink colors and cheery stamp sets will make your heart sing and your artwork shine! (retail value of $66.85)
Choose Me Kit #4 (Karen suggest that this kit or Choose Me Kit #3 be your third "Choose Me"): Cardmakers and Scrapbookers alike will cherish this collection of vintage-themed products and versatile tools (retail value $78.55):

2. An Awesomely Delicious Recipe from my Kori: Kori and Daci have been here visiting this week (which has been heaven for this grandma) and a couple of days ago she made all of us dinner. This Chicken Tortilla soup recipe is so scrumptious. It is sooooo yummy. I think I could easily eat about 4 helpings in one sitting! Since I haven't shared a recipe in quite some time, I thought it was about time (stay tuned for 2 more recipes this week!) The photo I shared at the beginning of this post is not the best photo, but I was in such a hurry to eat it that I didn't take the time to set up a beautiful presentation before I took the pic. It is delicious (and so pretty) with some chopped tomatoes, chopped green onion, a little ground pepper, tortilla strips and monterey jack cheese sprinkled on top. On to the important part: the recipe...

Chicken Tortilla Soup - serves 8-10 (from the kitchen of Kori Roberts and Penny Roberts)

1 Rotisserie Chicken (remove chicken from bones and shred)

1 lg. onion, diced

2 sticks butter, unsalted

8 tbs. flour

4 C. chicken stock

4 C. half and half

2 tsp. tobasco (Kori likes the green tobasco)

2 tsp. chili powder

tsp. cumin
2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. pepper

2-16 oz. cans of cannelini beans

2-8 oz. cans of chopped green chili peppers

1 C. shredded monterey jack cheese

1 C. sour cream

2 C. chopped cilantro
  • chop onion and cook in pan with 4 tbs. butter until soft and transparent
  • remove onion and add 12 tbs. butter at medium heat
  • whisk in flour and continue to whisk for about 3 minutes. Add onion, chicken broth and half and half
  • bring to a boil and simmer until thickened
  • stir in seasonings
  • add beans, chilis, chicken and cheese
  • cook for 20 minutes, then add sour cream and cilantro
