Mojo Monday Hot Air Balloon Card

I decided to take a few quick minutes and play along with Mojo Monday today. It's always nice to have a little inspiration!

This 3 1/2" x 6" card is simple and really did just take a couple of minutes to put together thanks to the beautiful Complements line that CTMH created to go with their paper packs.  I used the Balloon Ride paper pack, the matching Complements Dimensional Elements, and just a couple of embellishments to create this card (see the end of this post for list of supplies with photos and links). The cute sentiment was one of the zip strips from the Balloon Ride paper.  I also used one of my very favorite new products, the Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment. I used the Cashmere colored piece for the background strips.  Each of these pieces of cardstock has a white on color pattern on one side and a tone on tone embossed pattern on the back side. I just used a sponge and a bit of Cashmere ink to make the embossing stand out.  Cool beans! You can shop for any of these products and so many more on my website, 24/7.  One thing I did use that we no longer carry are the Mocha Opaques. You could easily use our Brown and Tan Sparkles Assortment in its place.

You may also notice some gorgeous gold polka dotted vellum on this card.  Stay tuned on May 1 to hear all about that!  How's that for a little sneak peek?

Remember that April is just about over (only 2 days left!) and that means the AWESOME April sign up special (you get a FREE Cricut Cartridge and over $308 in products for only $99 this month)  and the April Stamp of the Month are disappearing soon. Don't miss them. See both specials and read all about them here.

March Play Group Scrappin' Class Layouts (Balloon Ride)

I thought I had posted the March Play Group layouts and shopping list a couple of weeks ago.  That's what I get for thinkin'!  I couldn't figure out why no long-distance Play Group orders were coming in. Well, that explains it. I apologize for the delay.  The April pages will go up next week.

It's time to unveil the beautiful pages we will be making this month using the soft and beautiful Balloon Ride papers from Close To My Heart. Since I'm so late getting these posted, you can't participae in person this month unless you have already ordered. I wouldn't get your order in time for classes on Thursday and Friday this week.  But, you CAN participate long-distance.  If you are participating long-distance, you have until March 15 to get your orders to me.   (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com)

The Balloon Ride papers are so versatile that you really could use these layouts for just about anything.  I had fun using them for photos of our son, Easton's wife Daysha at their wedding in 2010, and the engagement photos of our son, Tannon and his fiance' Brookley. They get married next week!!!!!

After the layout photos, you'll find the shopping list. In order to participate you are only required to purchase the Basic Kit, but you are more than welcome to purchase the Better or Best, or add a few of those items to your Basic Kit.  You'll see kit totals along with the shopping list.

Feel free to click on any image to see it larger and in more detail.  For each layout I have included the layout with photos, without photos, and some detail shots. You might also notice that on the layouts without the photos I have listed the size of each mat for your convenience in choosing and cropping your photos.
