THANK YOU From the Bottom of my Heart!

I can't even begin to say THANK YOU enough to all of you who support me, and my Close To My Heart Business.  I just finished earning my 13th incentive trip. This one is to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and I will be heading there with a guest for a week in February 2017.  I am so excited. I am also so grateful for a company like Close To My Heart who is so generous to their Consultants and who allows us to have these travel opportunities. Because of these wonderful trips, I have been able to take my husband and each of my children on all expense paid, one-on-one trips in places throughout the world, places we would never have been able to travel otherwise, and places that have helped us create memories that will last a lifetime.  We've been to Hawaii, Alaska, Europe and the Mediterranean, several places in the Caribbean, the West Indies, Mexico, and MORE!

This would NEVER have been possible without YOU, my loyal customers and friends, who support my business by purchasing wonderful CTMH products from me and attending my classes.  I love what I do and am so glad that there are so many of you who enjoy what I have to offer.

This post is not full of artwork or creative tips, but instead, a very heartfelt THANK YOU for supporting me in what I do.

Thank You Card and Mojo Monday

5" x 7" card by Karen Pedersen

As you may have noticed, I have really enjoyed playing along with Mojo Monday the past couple of months.  I love that there is a 'starting point' with a great sketch, then I let my imagination run wild.  You should try it sometime!

I am need of lots of thank you cards right now so I decided to use that theme for the card today.  All of the products I used are listed at the bottom of this post with links.  You can purchase these and so many other wonderful products on my website, 24/7. There are two things I used on this card that are retiring on July 31:  The Outdoor Denim Chevron Ribbon and the Jubilee Paper Pack.  So, get 'em while you still can!

Tips and Tidbits from this card:
  • I love the Pirouette Stamp.  There are sooooo many fun things you can do with this set.  One of them I did on this card. I stamped it 3 times then cut out different parts of the stamp and layered them.  This gorgeous stamp is approx. 4" in diameter and is only $9.95 (US).  What a deal!
  • Sanding: I love that Close To My Heart's cardstock has a white core. It makes it so much fun to sand!  Outdoor Denim Cardstock is at the top of my list for this technique. If you sand one direction and then turn your paper and sand again the other direction, it really does look like some nice weathered denim.
  • Colored Sparkles:  Did you notice the blue sparkle accents on the card?  I just took my Clear Sparkles and colored them with a blue sharpie marker. Voila! Your sparkles can be any color you want!
  • Sponge Distressing:  I use our Round Sponge and cut it into 6 wedges (like a pie).  At only $1.25 per sponge, that ends up being .21 for each wedge. I hold on to the wedge at the triangle point and daub it onto a stamp pad on the rounded side.  I then use this to sponge the edges of my cardstock.  For this card I chose Saddle ink.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a great week!

Merci Beaucoup Card

How about this fun little card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") made with the May Stamp of the Month (You've Got a Friend). I was inspired by a card created by the Close To My Heart Art Department and just put my own little spin on it.  It was quick and easy and super simple, yet fun and visually appealing (at least I think so!).  Don't you love those kinds of cards?

This set ($17.95 value) is yours for only $5 with every $50 you spend (before shipping and tax) and is only available in May.  Don't forget that you can also get the National Scrapbooking Month exclusive paper pack for only $5 with every $50 ordered this month (before shipping and tax).  You can read more about that here.  Or, you can see MY EXCLUSIVE KIT here.  You can also purchase from my website 24/7...nifty!

Balloon Talk Thank You Cards and Wedding Photos

Be sure to check out my last post for a FREE stamp set you can only get through ME!

Today I'm here to share some cards (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") I made with the April Stamp of the Month:  Balloon Talk.  I love the simple design of these cards. Once I came up with my basic design, I cranked out about 20 of these babies in about an hour and a half.  Not too shabby! You can never have enough Thank You Cards on hand!  Even though they are simple, I feel like they have lots of visual interest. I hope you do too!

This set is so much fun and is only $5 with every $50 you spend in April.  You can purchase on my website and you'll be prompted to add your Stamp(s) of the Month before you check out.

Here are a couple of detail shots of each card. As you can see, I popped up the thank you bubble for a little 'pop' of variety.  I love 3D Foam Tape and tend to use it on almost every one of my projects somewhere. At the very end of this post, you'll find photos and links to the products I used to create these cards.

While I'm here, I thought I'd share a few of the photos from Tannon and Brookley's wedding last month. We got the professional pictures back and I think they turned out so nicely!  The first few are from Brookley's bridal photos, which were taken in the middle of a blizzard at Tibble Creek Reservoir. She was a trooper and the braving of the cold paid off!  They are just stunningly gorgeous.  The next set are from the wedding day...some from the Salt Lake Temple that morning after the ceremony and some from the reception that evening at Wadley Farms.  Enjoy!  I'm sure you'll be seeing some of these photos pop up again on layouts I create in the next few months.
