Two Toned Cardstock, New Neutrals, a Die Cut Alphabet and a Brand New Cricut Collection

I wanted to talk about a few of the new things that have me like...

1.  Two Toned Cardstock: Yes!  All of our cardstocks are now 2-toned. There is a darker shade on one side and a lighter shade of the same color on the back. This makes your cardstock twice as nice!  There are 40 colors to choose from, or you can even purchase them in 10 color combo packs (like the Whimsy collection you see below). Check them all out here.  Not only that, all 4 colors have matching stamp pads, pigment pads, and re-inkers to match. You can find the inks here.

We have also added a brand new Color of the Year (available for 1 year only) called Bashful!  It's a gorgeous soft pink, right on trend, and is a must have. It comes in cardstock (two-toned of course), a stamp pad and a pigment pad, as well as some fun embellishments to match.  Find those products here.

2.  New Neutral Color Palette:  We have 10 new neutrals that are sure to please! I love that although they are neutrals, they are still trendy. Close To My Heart has made sure that they have chosen basics that are the basics you are seeing in home decor and fashion right now. We would never want to miss staying in style!

The colors are Charcoal, Pewter, Pebble, Linen, Mink, Heather, Espresso, Nutmeg, Toffee, and Almond.  Delicious. All of these colors come in Cardstock, Stamp Pads, Pigment Pads, Reinkers, and even a Fundamental Patterned Paper Package.

3.   A Die Cut Alphabet to Die For!:  Yep, I am doing back handsprings over this one. I love it!  The letters dies are approximately 1 1/2" high, and the font is so versatile it can go with any style. It's a must have in my studio! I love that I can cut any paper or color I want, and make titles that say whatever I want! SCORE!  Get yours here.

4.  A Brand New Cricut Collection: Although this "You Are Here" collection focuses on travel, there is so much more to enjoy as well!  I already have it in my hot little hands and have been cut, cut, cutting away! Blessed Little Moments Layout

How many of you find yourself inspired by other artwork you see?  Well, that was the case for me with this layout. I saw a layout similar to this that was designed by my friend, Shannon Buck and did a little tweaking and came up with this little beauty that was perfect for my photos of Sage and Stade at their recent photo shoot for a children's clothing company called Rags to Raches (This is an awesome company, folks!  They were recently on Shark Tank, got a deal with Robert Herjavec, and are thriving right here in Utah. I don't get paid a thing for mentioning them here, and they didn't ask me to, but I just think they are wonderful so I'm tooting their horn!).  It was so fun that these two cousins (and grandkids of ours) got to model together on this shoot. Sage and her little sister, Baylor, do quite a bit of modeling for this company, but this was Stade's first time and he was a trooper. I love these cute little Halloween rompers that Rags to Raches sold this year, don't you?

Anyway, back to the layout. I used papers from the Basic Fundamentals Rustic Home Paper Packet, Peacock, Saffron, Slate, White Daisy and Glacier Cardstocks, Swan Lake Complements, and some fun cuts from the CTMH/Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.  I feel like the colors and patterns of the papers complement the photos of Sage and Stade beautifully, don't you?

Retiring Cricut Cartridges

There's a new sheriff in town...and by that I mean a brand new Close To My Heart Cricut Collection call Artistry. It's a good 'un!  The current Cricut collection that I use the very most is Art Philosophy. I think the new Artistry collection is like Art Philosophy 2.0. It's includes 700 images:  versatile shapes, a font,  layers, banners, borders and backgrounds.  It spans a wide variety of themes, holidays, and seasons.

Brand New Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge is HERE!

5" x 7 " card with the Close To My Heart/Cricut Artfully Sent Cartridge

It's here!  It's available NOW!  We've all been waiting with bated breath.  Well, you can BREATHE now.  Today's post will tell you a little bit about the fabulous new Artfully Sent Close To My Heart/Cricut Cartridge Collection (including a short 3 minute video about it) and how to get it from ME (order #Z3017 on my website)!

The card you see here is one I created at Convention a few months ago with the prototype of this cartridge.  How cute is that?  It began with the Kraft Cardstock 5" x 7" card that was cut with this cartridge. I then backed the cut outs with some Canary, Glacier and Colonial White Cardstock pieces, lined the inside of my card with Canary Cardstock, added a stamped accent and a few cuter than cute gold sequin accents, along with some Gold Shimmer Trim and....voila! Perfection!  I've added a products used list with links to them on my website at the end of this post.
