Two Toned Cardstock, New Neutrals, a Die Cut Alphabet and a Brand New Cricut Collection

I wanted to talk about a few of the new things that have me like...

1.  Two Toned Cardstock: Yes!  All of our cardstocks are now 2-toned. There is a darker shade on one side and a lighter shade of the same color on the back. This makes your cardstock twice as nice!  There are 40 colors to choose from, or you can even purchase them in 10 color combo packs (like the Whimsy collection you see below). Check them all out here.  Not only that, all 4 colors have matching stamp pads, pigment pads, and re-inkers to match. You can find the inks here.

We have also added a brand new Color of the Year (available for 1 year only) called Bashful!  It's a gorgeous soft pink, right on trend, and is a must have. It comes in cardstock (two-toned of course), a stamp pad and a pigment pad, as well as some fun embellishments to match.  Find those products here.

2.  New Neutral Color Palette:  We have 10 new neutrals that are sure to please! I love that although they are neutrals, they are still trendy. Close To My Heart has made sure that they have chosen basics that are the basics you are seeing in home decor and fashion right now. We would never want to miss staying in style!

The colors are Charcoal, Pewter, Pebble, Linen, Mink, Heather, Espresso, Nutmeg, Toffee, and Almond.  Delicious. All of these colors come in Cardstock, Stamp Pads, Pigment Pads, Reinkers, and even a Fundamental Patterned Paper Package.

3.   A Die Cut Alphabet to Die For!:  Yep, I am doing back handsprings over this one. I love it!  The letters dies are approximately 1 1/2" high, and the font is so versatile it can go with any style. It's a must have in my studio! I love that I can cut any paper or color I want, and make titles that say whatever I want! SCORE!  Get yours here.

4.  A Brand New Cricut Collection: Although this "You Are Here" collection focuses on travel, there is so much more to enjoy as well!  I already have it in my hot little hands and have been cut, cut, cutting away! It comes with a 700 image cartridge (or digital download, whichever you choose, depending on which Cricut machine you own), 3 stamp sets that coordinate with the cuts on this cartridge (valued at $53.85 on their own) and a package of Enchantment Combo Pack of two-toned  cardstock (24 sheets).  Get yours here.

A Cupcake Card and a Fun Close To My Heart Event

How cute is this card? We'll talk about that in just a minute (get the stamp set and die cuts I used to make it FREE in March!).  First, let's talk about some serious fun that was had last weekend...

This past Saturday was a very special event with Close To My Heart. We have a brand new mini-catalog coming out on May 1. Close To My Heart Consultants get to see that publication early and even order from it a whole month ahead of customers (just one of the awesome perks of being a CTMH Consultant).

Quite often, when a new mini-catalog is debuting, Close To My Heart has what they call "Launch Events" across the US, Canada and Australia.  Consultants can come and see new things, and make beautiful new projects using the new products in the catalog.  How cool is that?

There were launch events in many cities across the US, and one of them was right near me...in Salt Lake City, UT. I had 21 of my team members attend with me.  In addition, I had team members across the country attending launch events in Anaheim, CA, Sacramento, CA, Andover, MA, Bloomington, MI, Detroit, MI, San Antonio, TX, St. Louis, MO and Alexandria, VA.  In total, 54 of my team members got to experience a launch event, many for the very first time! I have been inundated with messages from first-timers telling me how much they loved every second.  Here are several photos of my team members having a great time!

In Salt Lake City, our day began on Saturday with a team lunch. Unfortunately not everyone who was attending the Launch Event was able to be there early enough for the lunch, but there were still several of us there. We even got our own private room and enjoyed visiting, laughing, and anticipating the new product we would be seeing and playing with in just a couple short hours.

Here we are at our private lunch at Shula's.  You can see my eye in the bottom right hand corner. This is the only photo that day that I am actually in. I was too busy taking photos of all of my team members to actually be in one!

I created the 3.5" x 8" card at the very top of this post with this stamp set and dies. Here's a detail shot of the cupcake and candle on the card:

I embossed the cupcake and candle in gold, then used my watercolor paints to softly add color.  I've included a list of all of the products I used on this card, complete with photos and links to the products, at the very end of this post for your convenience.

Die Cuts 25% Off and 3 Cards

I'll be sharing a few cards today that use Thin Cuts and sharing what cuts I used and what the discounted price is. Deal?

First off is the 5" x 7" Love card at the top of the post.  I used two thin cuts on this card:

The Love Thin Cut (measures approximately 4.5" wide and 2.5" tall. The Love Thin Cut is usually $10.95 and is on sale in March only for $8.21.

And the Hearts Thin Cuts (small heart is approx 1.25" tall, medium heart is approximately 2" tall, and large heart is approx. 3" tall).
