Sisterhood

This past Saturday, Close To My Heart held events in 11 cities across North America in which we, as consultants, got to try out a new workshop program called Workshops Your Way (coming soon!). It was fabulous.  More important than the terrific training with Close To My Heart is the sisterhood that reigns among CTMH Consultants.  Here in Salt Lake City, I and 17 members of my team attended. I also had team members attending in many other cities.  Not only did we share a great training and creative opportunity, but we went out for lunch ahead of time and enjoyed each other's company, as sisters always seem to do.

We all tried out the Red Iguana in downtown Salt Lake.  It was featured in Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins and Dives show. It did not disappoint.

Great food, even better friendships!

After lunch we all headed over to the new Marriott downtown for 3 hours of training. We all sat together and had a wonderful time.  Amongst all of this fun, we even learned a lot.  I love my team and I love my job. If you are interested in joining my team, I'd LOVE to have you join our sisterhood. We are called "The Pacemakers" because we keep THE HEART (as in Close To My Heart) pumpin'!  Not only do we share an incomparable sisterhood, we are an award winning, million-dollar team.

I can answer any questions you may have (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com).  Or, you can hop right on over to my website and sign up easy peasy. I'll get in touch with you as soon as CTMH notifies me your application has been accepted (which is usually within a day or two). It's only $129 to sign up and you get over $435 in products and supplies in your kit!

Here are more photos from Saturday.

Party On, Dude!

What a wonderful day last Friday was.  Where do I even begin?  I guess by telling you first how it all came about.

Last year, Close To My Heart ran a contest for teams.  It included qualifications for team sales, title retention, recruiting, and more. It also included requirements for the team leader (that would be me) that covered those same areas.  My team stepped up!  Not only did we meet the requirements, we exceeded them!  The prize for this was a wonderful team meeting. Close To My Heart would travel to your location, provide a pertinent business training class and and an even more fun hands-on creative class.  All supplies were provided by them.  My team was one of 20 teams that won! YOU GO, Pacemakers (I chose that name for my team many years ago because we definitely keep "The Heart" pumpin'!). Interested in joining my team?  Click here.

I decided that even though the Close To My Heart corporate led portion was 3  hours in the evening,  I would find a nice venue that we could have for the entire day.  I knew I would probably have some team members flying in so I wanted a venue not far from the Salt Lake airport.  It also had to accommodate about 75 people with space to scrap and papercraft.  It needed to be close to a wide variety eating establishments that were in walking distance as well.  I found the perfect place!  Many thanks to The Embassy Suites hotel in West Valley City, UT. They were gracious hosts to my team and me.  And, on top of all of that... ELTON JOHN was staying in the hotel while we were there.  Although we didn't get to see Sir Elton himself, we did get to see his bus, chat with his team, and even take a few pics!

Since Autumn is in the air, and since now is the time to start crafting for Halloween, I decided to go with kind of a Halloween decor. My daughter and I made cute Halloween Treat Bags for each attendee, which we placed at each person's seat

Each table had a trio of orange, purple and green balloons in the middle, and each spot had a purple or green sack waiting there to use as their trash can as they scrapped throughout the day.  Most of the day was an open crop, but I threw in a few business and creative classes here and there.  Everyone had a blast.

We even had a fun photo area with props set up for participants to take fun photos at with their friends.

At 6:30 pm the CTMH portion of the day began and it did NOT disappoint!  Thank you to the great company I am part of for their generosity and kindness. I love being representing a company with real HEART!  We learned a lot about the strategies behind workshop planning as well as creating two beautiful 12" x 12" layouts. CTMH provided all of the supplies, including the stamp sets that each participant got to keep!

We had a blast!  Between setting up, the all-day crop, the classes and the Close To My Heart portion of the day, we were partying from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm. I had team members from Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Oklahoma and Minnesota attend!  I love my team!
