Last Day for Dynamite "Dotty For You" Special

Dotty For You Workshop (see #3 below)
Yep, that's right. Today is it...the last day to not only take advantage of the Dotty For You special, but also the May Stamp of the Month.  I thought I'd remind you about both specials and the Dotty For You Workshop (pictured at the top of this post) you can participate in if you get a "Dotty For You" paper pack.  Here we go...1,2, and 3.  Be sure to read all 3.

Before I get started, just make a note that tomorrow you'll see a post highlighting the wonderful June Specials. Hint:  one of them is called "Stampaganza!"

1.  Dotty For You:  This National Scrapbooking Month special ends with May. Don't miss it!  For every $35 in products your purchase from the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book (between April 17 and May 31) you qualify for a Dotty for You paper packet ($19.95 value) for just $5. Dotty for You includes 24 specially designed, cardstock weight, coordinating B&T Duos® sheets (2 each of 12 patterns) and an artwork idea insert. There are also two ways you can get this darling paper packet FREE!

  •  Hostesses will receive a free Dotty for You paper packet when their Gathering sales total $400 or more (excluding tax, shipping/handling, and Operation Smile donations).
  • Anyone who signs up as a new Consultant with CTMH from now through May 31 gets one FREE with their kit (which is a STEAL!  It's only $99 and you get over $300 in products!).To sign up, head to my website, click on "Opportunities" and then "Be a Consultant." Easy, peasy, lemon squeasy!

Remember, if you get a Dotty For You pack, you also qualify to participate in my Dotty For You Workshop, either in person or long-distance (see #3 below).

Here are some Thank You cards I made with this awesome paper pack:

2.  May Stamp of the Month: Isn't this set just perfect?  April showers bring May flowers, and I just love the flowers they brought! These sunflowers are just perfect done with watercolors, pencils, markers, or even just stamped and left uncolored. You'll see all of these techniques on cards I will be posting throughout the month.
May Stamp of the Mont set ("Friendship Bouquet")
Here is a card I made with this set:

3. Dotty For You Workshop:
ANYONE who buys or gets a "Dotty For You" pack free is invited to participate in this workshop (Two 2-page 12" x 12" layouts and 10 cards and envelopes), either in person or long distance.  And, it's VERY reasonably priced! Here's the scoop: to participate you need to have a Dotty For You paper pack (which you can get between now and May 31 for FREE or for only $5 {see this post for details}).  In addition, you must purchase at least the Basic Kit.  After that, anything you choose to purchase is up to you. Keep reading for details and close-ups of all of the projects...

In designing this workshop, I took a look at some of the projects that Close To My Heart designed with the paper pack, and the went from there. Both of the two page layouts include one of the pages that CTMH designed as well as a companion page designed by me. I did make a few little changes to the CTMH pages to keep costs down.  A couple of the card designs also came from Close To My Heart and I just worked them a little bit to keep costs down a bit.

You can click on any photo in this post to see it larger and in more detail.

Layout #1: "Love" (without photos)

Layout #1: "Love" (with photos and journaling)

Layout #2 ("Fun"):
Layout #2: "Fun" (without photos)

Ten cards (envelopes included):
Ten Cards: Bottom row is card #1: Initial card (you will make 4 of these with our choice of initials); middle cards in top two rows are card #2: Thank You card (you will make 2 of these); outside cards in top two rows are card #3: Cloud card (you will make 4 of these)
You can participate in this workshop in two ways:
  • attend a workshop in person (see dates and times below)
  • participate long-distance (add $5 to workshop cost)
Workshop Dates and Times to choose from:
  • Tuesday, June 12, 7 - 10 pm in American Fork, UT
  • Wednesday, June 13, 10 am - 1 pm in American Fork, UT
Now, let  me quickly explain the kit for those of you attending in person and those who will be ordering this kit long-distance:

In Person:
  • You are not required to purchase anything other than the basic kit. I do suggest the 'Better Kit' because then you will also have all of the accessory items you see on my layouts and cards.
  • The Best Kit includes the stamp pads and stamps we will be using. If you are attending the workshop in person, I will have these items for you to use there. If you love them and want them for yourself, you may want to consider purchasing the Best Kit.
  • Items you will need to bring with you to the workshop: paper trimmer, adhesive of your choice, 3D foam tape, glue dots. I will supply all other supplies to be used there.
  • If you would like me to cut your workshop ahead of time for you, add $5 to the workshop cost.
Long-Distance:
  •  You are not required to purchase anything other than the basic kit. I do suggest the 'Better Kit' because then you will also have all of the accessory items you see on my layouts and cards.
  • The Best Kit includes the stamp pads and stamps we will be using. If you want your layouts and cards to look exactly like mine, you will want to purchase the Best Kit, or you can pay an extra $5 for me to cut and stamp your workshop before I send it to you.
  • Add $5 to the purchase price for me to ship your workshop to you.
Shopping List:

Basic Kit
Total with shipping and tax: $17.10

Better Kit = Basic Kit + the following items:

3 More Days for May Specials and a Sunflower Card

I can't believe it is already May 29.  This month has flown by.  That means that there are only a couple more days for you to take advantage of the May Specials.

1.  Dotty For You Paper Pack: can be yours for only $5 ($19.95 value) when you spend $35.
2. May Stamp of the Month (I made the card at the top of this post with this gorgeous set) can be yours for only $5 with a $50 order.

Click on the link for either special for details.

You can take advantage of these and other great deals on my website, 24/7.

In addition to the Close To My Heart specials, so many great things are happening or have happened this month in our family, and one not-so-great one (see #10).

1.  Dawson is now out of school for the Summer. Can you join my in a "Hallelujah!"? I love no nagging
Dawson is 3rd from the left, of course posing.  He has such great friends!
about homework for 3 blissful months!
2.  The fund raiser I was in charge of at church was a resounding success. We raised twice what we thought we were going to and are able to pay for all of our girls to go to a one week Young Womens' Camp in July. YIPEEEE!
3. Easton and Daysha came and visited. We love having them here!
Easton and Daysha doing one of our favorite family activities: shooting.
4.  Dawson played in some fun basketball tourneys.
5.  We celebrated 5 family birthdays, and 2 family anniversaries (including my parents' 50th and Dan and my 27th). Yes, May is our month of celebrations!
6.  We got to skype with Tannon on Mother's Day. I loved seeing his face and hearing his voice. He gets home from his 2-year mission the end of August. It really has gone so quickly!
Tannon (far left) with his companion (next to him), his mission president and one other missionary.
7.  We celebrated Memorial Day yesterday by visiting my wonderful 92 year old grandmother and having a cookout there with many family members.
Grandma, GG (for Great Grandma) or 3G (for Great Great Grandma).
8.  My parents headed out on a two-week trip to Switzerland to celebrate their 50 years together.
Dad and Mom in Switzerland, taking a break and looking at all of the photos they have taken.
9.  Although Kori, Rick and the grandkids are living in Chicago, we are so happy to have been able to talk with and even skype with them often this month and enjoy their happenings and developments.  Other than Daci chopping off all of her hair this month (that little toad!), it has been a joy to see them growing and maturing and just being so darn cute!
Daci and her 'new haircut'

Street and Livvi, so excited about their twin bears
10.  We also spent much of this past weekend at the hospital. Dan's dad was rushed in on Friday evening. We are waiting for results from the biopsy they did of his stomach. There appears to be a tumor there but we are hoping it is benign. Keep your fingers crossed and your knees bent for us if you don't mind. Luckily, he is doing much better and was able to come home late Sunday evening.  We also went an visited him yesterday.
Grandpa Pedersen, cooking us all burgers at Bear Lake.

I truly am blessed to be a member of such a wonderful family!

Happy Mail from Amy

My sweet friend, Amy M., sent me this simple and darling card this week.  Love it! Don't you just love opening the mail box to some happy mail? I know I do!

I also love my Amy! She lives all the way across the country in South Carolina, so we don't get to see each other very often, but luckily we have the Close To My Heart national convention coming up this Summer where we get to be roomies. So excited! I love my girl time!

Amy's card features the "Dotty for You" paper pack that you can still get for only $5 ($19.95 value) until May 31.  See details here.  The awesome May Stamp of the Month is also available through May 31 for as little as $5 ($17.95 value). Learn more about that here.

You can take advantage of both of these amazing deals, as well as so many more on my website, 24/7!

Close To My Heart Products used on Amy's card:  White Daisy Bulk Cards and Envelopes, Dotty For You Paper Pack, Black Stamp Pad, Smoothie Mini-Medley, Neutral Baker's Twine.

One stamp and you're done! No kidding! Watch this excellent 2 minute video hosted by my friend, Kristine to find out how. Before you watch, scroll all the way down to the bottom of my blog and pause my play list. That way you won't have to listen to both things at the same time.  Enjoy!

June Play Group Scrapbooking Class Layouts (Superhero)

June Play Group classes are coming SOON (June 1 and 5), so NOW is the time to sign up. I'd LOVE to have you come to one of them, host one in your home with your friends, or even participate long distance. I'm confident you would enjoy what we do and be very happy with the projects you make!  Keep reading...

I need to hear from you no later than Saturday, May 26 if you want to participate.  We will be making three 2-page 12" x 12" layouts using the Superhero Kit that are so much fun. I have used them for photos of my son, Easton's football season last year at Southern Utah University.  They'd also be great for little boy photos, photos of kids with their dad or grandpa, poolside, pics of your boys on their bikes, and so much more.  The list is endless.  Just call or email me to sign up (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com).

Here are the layouts (click on any photo to see it larger and in more detail). I've shared the details of the class, the kits, and how to participate after the photos. If you are not familiar with my Play Group classes, scroll down the left side of my blog until you find the section called "Play Group Information" and read away!  Enjoy!

Now that I've hopefully gotten you excited, read on for the details of how to participate...

Class Dates and Times to choose from:
Friday, June 1, 10 am - 1 pm (this class is in American Fork, UT)
Tuesday, June 5, 7-10 pm (this class is in Pleasant Grove, UT)

You can also host this workshop in your home (in Utah) with your friends during the month of February and earn FREE hostess rewards (free CTMH shopping spree!) while you do it. If you are interested in doing that, please contact me (801.360,9896, pedermom@aol.com) and I'll give you all the details.

You can also participate in this workshop long-distance. If you choose to do so, just add $5 to the cost of whichever kit you choose for the extra shipping.  I suggest if you are participating long-distance that you at least order the "Better Kit", and any stamp pads we are using that you don't already have.  If you participate long distance, I am happy to stamp the items using stamp sets that aren't in the kit for you since you probably won't have the stamp pads and alphabet stamp (unless you order the "Best Kit"). That is my little gift to you if you participate long-distance.

Play Group members: I'd love for you to bring a friend! If you have a friend you think would enjoy Play Group, invite them!  I just need to know by Saturday, May 26 if they are coming so I can be sure and get them a kit.  There is no obligation to join unless they love it and want to when they come and try it out.

Remember, in order to attend, you only need to purchase the Basic Kit. Anything above and beyond that is totally up to you. This month, I suggest you consider the Better Kit. The few items I've added there make a huge difference to your pages. If you already have any of the items in the Better or Best kits, just bring them with you to class.
