I'm back with another installment in my Studio J Hawaiian Album series for November.  This layout is from our stop in Oahu at Pearl Harbor.  We loved it! Dawson is a big history buff and had just been studying WWII in his history class at school. It made him even more excited about being at Pearl Harbor.

Today I am sharing the layout that documents our second day in Kauai.  Such fun! There had been a big storm and as you can see in the photos, the water was muddy.  But this did nothing to muddy our spirits.   We loved Kauai!

One of my favorite features of Studio J is the Express Layouts Collection. There are several collections of layouts that are already done for you, complete with accessories and everything. I all you have to do is plug in your photos, journaling and add your titles. I used the Getaway Collection for this album and did the whole album (18 pages) in about 2 1/2 hours.  WOO HOO! These collections are coordinated to make beautiful albums and come together in a jiffy.  There are themes from travel to "all about me,"  from sports to a year end review, and even more!

Eight Things I Love About Studio J and Hawaii Studio J Digital Album, 1st Installment

If you follow my blog, you know that this month is LUCKY 5 at Close To My Heart, in honor of the 5th anniversary of Studio J. There are dynamite deals to be had and prolific prizes to be won by using our online scrapbooking program this month, Studio J. I created a whole album in Studio J this week, in fact in one afternoon. I made 9 two-page layouts in 2 1/2 hours.  No lie!  It is of a Hawaiian cruise that I went on in 2012 with my son, Dawson.  I have earned 11 trips through my Close To My Heart business and not only have I been able to enjoy some romantic trips with my hubby, but I have been able to take each of my children on a trip and make memories that will last a lifetime.

A Card and a Studio J Layout

One of the new Close To My Heart products that I have fallen in love with is our line of Embossing Folders.  I decided to pair one of them with the March Stamp of the Month today to create a 5" x 7" card.  I remember the first time I saw this stamp set. The first thing I thought was, "Hmmm, I'm not sure that's really my style."  SILLY ME!  As soon as I got one of those little bubushkas in my hand and stamped I fell in love.  I am sure you will too. Those roly poly little dolls have stolen my heart. Not only are they fun Russian stacking dolls, but they also remind me of the "Weebles wobble but the don't fall down!" commercials. Remember those? I have enjoyed pairing this set with bright, fresh and clean primary colors this month in my artwork.
