Friends Layout Using the Chantilly Papers

Here I am...back with more Chantilly artwork I hope you enjoyed the little break from my Chantilly series with my niece's wedding sign in book on Friday's post. I had so much fun making it for her. You can go back to this post and this post to see more Chantilly artwork if you missed it last week.

This layout was inspired by the one page layout you see on page 19 of the Spring/Summer Idea Book. I fell in love with this layout when I saw it and wanted to re-create it in a 2-page spread.  The reason that this layout has no photos on it is that I created it as a reward for those in my downline who reached a challenge a few months ago. I try to run fun challenges for my team every few months that help them have a little something extra to work toward.  Join my team and start working toward some of those rewards yourself!

Here are a few detail shots of the layout:

Want to make the layout yourself?  Well, just order the products from the 'products used' list below on my website and then use the cutting guide I created for you below. Easy, peasy!

CTMH products used:  Pear Stamp Pad, Chantilly Paper Pack, White Daisy Cardstock, Chantilly Assortment, Chantilly Textiles (cut two 2" x 24" strips and gather for the ruffles), Hollyhock Zipper Lace (temporarily unavailable because so many people have loved it that we ran out. Don't worry! It will be available again soon!), Pink Glitter Gems, Pink Button Assortment, Notable Alphabet Dimensional Elements, Colonial White Waxy Flax, Round Sponge (used with Pear Stamp Pad to color the Dimensional Elements letters). All of these products can be purchased on my website, 24/7!

Cutting Guide.  Please ignore the fact that it says "Team Meeting 1/26/2013" on it (I also used this for a team meeting with my downline). To see this cutting guide larger, just click on it then you can save it to your desktop and print it to use on your layout.

Have a Chantilly kind of day!

P.S. This is one of the three 2-page layouts we will be making in my Play Group Scrappin' classes in August!

February Close To My Heart Specials and a Brand, New Idea Book

6" x 6" card made with the February Stamp of the Month: Home Sweet Home
Happy February! I'm here to share the love and let you in on all of the happenings and great specials at Close To My Heart this month.  Here's what you'll find in this post:

1.  Brand Spankin' New Idea Book
2.  Digital Delights
3.  February Stamp of the Month: Home Sweet Home (I used this set to make the card at the top of the post today)
--------------

1. Brand Spankin' New Idea Book:  Yep, it's finally here...the much anticipated Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book.  You gotta love it, Baby!  It is full of beautiful kits,  papers, stamp sets, inks, home decor projects, bling, bling and more bling...and MORE!  You can see it page by delicious page by clicking here.
What do you think of the gorgeous papers I used to make the card at the top of the post? Well, they are from the new Chantilly paper pack (see page 17-21 in the new Idea Book). It's also the kit you see used above on the cover photo.  I am partial to pink and green together, and have always been a sucker for paisley, so I was thrilled to see this paper.

2.  Digital Delights: February is sure to be a month of digital delights because you can purchase any Studio J® layout for only $5—that’s a savings of $1.95 per layout!

This is a great opportunity to try Studio J for the first time. Create adorable baby layouts with the Wishes and Fishes kit (shown above), or use the new Express Collections with collections of 10 ready-made layouts plus a front and back cover that are easy to use and professionally designed. Preserve your memories at a low price for a truly digital delight!  If you are already a Studio J lover, then you'll be thrilled with your savings this month. If not, NOW is the perfect time to try it.  To give it a try for FREE (there is no charge unless you decide to purchase any layouts you have built), go to my website to get started.

3. February Stamp of the Month - Home Sweet Home:  What a wonderful set. I just love these sentiments and I had so much fun playing with it. I did a lot of playing with different colors on separate words.  I love the effect!  I'll be sharing my creations throughout the month and I hope they will inspire you.

February Play Group Scrappin' Class Layouts (Clementine)

As you can tell by the card I shared yesterday, I've been playing a bit with the "Clementine" kit lately.  This is the paper pack we will be using in my February Play Group Scrappin' Classes.

I love that although the kit has an overall feminine feel, many of the papers in it can be both feminine and masculine. I also love that there is just a touch of a Western feel mixed in. Don't you?

Here are the three 2-page 12" x 12" layouts we will be making in February (click on any photo to see it larger and in more detail). If you would like to participate, please contact me (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com) with your kit order no later than TUESDAY, JANUARY 29.  This is a hard deadline because this workshop expires at the end of January.  I would need to place your order by then.

You can participate in my Play Group classes in one of three ways:

  1.  Attend a class in person
  2.  Host one in your home with your friends (and earn free product!). Call or email me to schedule your date (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com)
  3.  Participate long distance. Just add $5 to the kit total you see to have your kit shipped directly  from me to you. (call or email me to order your kit: 801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com)
In person class dates and times:

  • Thursday evening, February 21,  7-10 pm in Pleasant Grove, UT
  • Friday morning, February 22, 10 am - 1 pm in American Fork, UT
I'm confident you will enjoy what we do and be very happy with the projects you make!

After the layout photos, you'll find the shopping list.  Keep reading...

Layout #1: Live Your Dream: I had fun filling this layout with photos of our talented daughter-in-law, Daysha.  She graduated from Brigham Young University in Music, Dance, Theater and has been numberous plays, movies, dance tours, etc.  It was fun to go back through some of my photos of her in character and celebrate her talent on this layout.

Layout #2:  Smile Big:  This title is kind of tongue in cheek for this layout. I chose to fill it with photos of my kids and grandkids NOT cooperating when I say "SMILE!"  We all have photos like these, right?

If you want to add them to your order, they are item #Z1450 and cost $3.95. You get 2-3 of each letter and one of each number (except 0...you get 2 of that puppy).

Heartfelt Wishes Card (6" x 6")

This is it...the last of the "Lucy" display I made several of my team members (to see the rest, scroll back through the last 4 or 5 posts). This 6" x 6" card could be used for almost anything with the "heartfelt WISHES" sentiment I chose to use. It would be great for a birthday, Mother's Day, a sympathy card, or even just a plain, old "just because" card.

Although this is the last of the "Lucy" display, it is not the end of what you'll be seeing with Lucy in the next few days.  We will also be making three 2-page 12" x 12 layouts with the Lucy kit in my Play Group classes in March. I'll be showing those and announcing class and kit information in a couple of days. Stay tuned...

In the meantime, here are the wonderful Close To My Heart products I used to create this card:  Lucy Level 2 Paper Pack, Lucy Workshop on the Go Stamp Set (if you attend one of my March Play Group classes you will get this kit!), Sympathy Card Chatter Stamp Set, Grey Wool Stamp Pad, Blush Stamp Pad, Creme Brulee Stamp Pad, Liquid Glass, Prisma Glitter, Natural Baker's Twine Collection, 3D Foam Tape.

You can order these and many other wonderful products on my website, 24/7.  Be sure to check out the Close To My Heart February specials here before ordering. Also, I just wanted to remind you of the beautiful February Stamp of the Month, which is yours for only $5 with a $50 order (before shipping and tax).  Isn't this a set that almost anyone would use a lot? I think so!

Have a great day!  I plan to!

Thank You Card Made with Close To My Heart's Lucy Paper Pack

Here I am...back with another card that is part of the"Lucy" (love this girlie, soft, feminine kit!) display I am making for the hard-working members of my team who had a $2000 sales month (click here for an explanation).  This card was inspired by the sketch this week at the Mojo Monday blog. I really love their sketches and wish I had a little more time to play with them each week. I'm always happy when I find a few minutes.

As you can see, I turned the card direction, but kept the rest almost exactly to the sketch.

Close To My Heart products used and quick explanations of techniques:  Lucy Level 2 Paper Pack, Lucy Workshop on the Go Stamp Set, Card Chatter Sympathy Stamp Set, Cricut/CTMH Art Philosphy Cartridge (to cut bracketed shape, circles and flower shape...I love how so many of our stamps sets coordinate with the cartridge!), Grey Wool Stamp Pad, Blush Stamp Pad, Creme Brulee Stamp Pad, Liquid Glass (applied to flower to hold glitter), Prisma Glitter (to make that flower sparkly. What girl doesn't love bling?), Paradise Assortment Baker's Twine, Licorice Opaques (I find myself using our opaques on almost everything I made lately!), 3D Foam Tape.

You can buy any/all of these products, as well as so many more scrumptious goodies on my website 24/7.  Before you shop, be sure to check out the February Specials here so you don't miss out on anything!
