1.  February Card Buffet:  Since I have been doing Card Buffets, they have steadily grown and grown. This is such a fun way to come, have fun, create the cards you need, and go home with cards galore!

My next card buffet dates and times are:

• Thursday morning, February 9 from 10 am - noon in American Fork, UT
• Thursday evening, February 9 from 7-9 pm in American Fork UT

Easter Egg Coloring Layout with the December Stamp of the Month

I know that the Christmas holidays are just around the corner, but the December Stamp of the Month was PERFECT for photos of coloring eggs with some of the grandkids at Easter that I hadn't scrapped yet. Those jars were just right to "fill" with egg dye and use as the major accent to this layout.  I created the look of egg dye by stamping my jars on watercolor paper with the black memento ink pad, then using my paint brushes, a bit of water, and our wonderful watercolor paints to "color" them in.  Be sure that when watercoloring, you stamp your images with the memento pad. It is perfect for projects that involve water. It stays put perfectly!

In my opinion, the journaling on a layout is as important as the photos.  I try really hard to not only record the date and who was present, but memories of the day.  I want to include things that when I go back to read (or my family, generations in the future) help me have the same feelings I had on the day it happened.

Easter Layout with the May Stamp of the Month

I hope all of you mothers had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. Mine was just about perfect.  The only thing missing was our Minnesota kids.  Our son, Easton, his wife, Daysha, and their little girl, Sage got into the action on Facetime though and I can't complain.  We got to skype with our missionary, Dawson (who we haven't seen in 2 years, and who will be home in less than a month) and that was heavenly.  Kori, Rick and their kidlets (Daci, Livvi and Street) were here all day and Tannon and his wife, Brookley were here for quite a while too.  For me, the best part of Mother's Day is spending it with the kids that made me a mommy.

I shared cards I made with the Just Sayin' set here and here.  Today I'm sharing a one-page layout.  I love the story behind this layout.  I made sure to journal it right on the page.  I am a BIG believer that the memory behind the photos is just as important as the photos themselves.
