Hugs and Kisses Required Valentine Card

Here's another card (3 1/2" x 4 1/2") I put together using the cuter than cute December Stamp of the Month (Special Care).  I thought this little quick and simple little card would be perfect to add to a bag of Hershey's Hugs and Kisses for Valentine's Day (in fact I think I'll do that for my grandkiddos!). I'm picturing it now...a darling glass jar full of hugs and kisses with a huge brown and white striped bow tied on the top and this card with a hole punched in the upper left corner, and tied on with some twine.  Simply perfect!

This set is yours for only $5 ($17.95 value) with each $50 yo spend (before shipping and handling). You'll be prompted to add it to your order before you check out.  Head on over to my website to order!  While you are there, be sure to check out the items that are retiring the end of January (or while supplies last if they run out sooner).  You can see a link to the list on the "shop" page at the bottom of the list of categories on the left called "Retiring Items". I'd hate for you to miss out on anything you really want.

Here is a list of products used and their links on my site.  Have fun shoppin'!

Baby Cards for Mojo Monday

I thought I'd play along this week with Mojo Monday! I always enjoy the weeks when they give a circular card and a square card option. I love circle cards and quite often make them and it's always fun to get a new sketch idea. I decided to do both the circle and square since I actually need a boy baby card and a girl baby card this week.

Before we get too far into this post, I'd like to quickly remind you that today is the last day of July, which means today is the last day to take advantage of the Close To My Heart July specials. Click here to read about them.

Here are the Mojo Monday sketches this week that I based my cards on:

August Play Group Scrappin' Classes (Chantilly) and Downton Abbey Season 3 Finale

Hi, all! I survived Girls' Camp last week.  Yay!  I'll try to share some of the photos from that sometime this week. I haven't even downloaded them yet.

I will share the August Play Group Scrappin' Class info in a moment but first I must stop and muse, ponder and ask questions. Do you watch Downton Abbey?  Are you caught up?  I just finished watching the finale for Season 3 and am in a funk. I  have had the worst time trying to function today. What the heck? Say it isn't so!  I am obsessed and cannot quit thinking about the ending. My sweet friend, Blythe sent me the link to this blog with a great post about the season finale. If you haven't watched it yet, don't read this until you do. Spoiler alert!  This post made me laugh. I needed it after the jarring ending. Maybe you do too!  http://thepioneerwoman.com/entertainment/2013/02/downton-abbey-season-finale/

Now on to important things...like the August Play Group Scrappin' Class info.  Here are the three 2-page 12" x 12" layouts we will be making in August with the Chantilly papers (click on any photo to see it larger and in more detail). Chantilly "You Make Me Smile" Card

As you can tell, I have had fun creating with the Chantilly papers.  I am a huge lover of pink and green, then on top of that Close To My Heart added paisley to the mix. Be still my heart!  I've been gettin' my Chantilly on!  In fact, maybe I need to dedicate this card to Chantilly.  Chantilly, "you make me smile!"

I had lots of fun with embossing on this card. I not only embossed the sentiment, but also embossed on two of my wooden flowers after I used my Round Sponge to sponge them with color from the Cotton Candy Stamp Pad.   You can see a bit more detail by looking at this photo...

I really love the White Daisy Die-Cut Cards and Envelope sets.  I used one of the cards for the base of this one.  In fact, I have to say that every single piece of paper and accessory item that I used on this card "made me smile." I am so happy that Close To My Heart carries so many fun papers, colors, accessories and bling!  The whole product list is below.

Close To My Heart products used:  Hooray Bouquet Stamp Set, Love Doily Stamp Set (I actually used a retired set for the doily look on the large wooden flower, but this set would have worked great as well), White Daisy Die Cut Cards and Envelopes, Chantilly Papers, Versamark Pad, White Daisy Embossing Powder, Cotton Candy Pad, Round Sponge, Garden Wooden Shapes, Pink Button Assortment, Basic Button Assortment, Chantilly Assortment.

I love the sentiment on this card. "You Make Me Smile" can be used for so many occassions. And, it comes in a set of wonderful flowers and a few other sentiments. I think this "Hooray Bouquet" stamp set is a must have. Not only is it darling, but those flowers coordinate with our CTMH/Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. Neato Cheeto!

Hooray Bouquet Stamp Set

Do you know what else "makes me smile?"  These two.....

Tannon and Michelle spent the day yesterday at a wedding expo getting ideas for their wedding and entering every prize drawing there. They are just certain they are going to win every drawing and get their photography, cake, flowers, and honeymoon for free.  Ha!

You can shop for these (except for Tannon and Michelle....they are mine and not for sale, at least not today), and so many other scrumptious products on my website 24/7.

Friends Layout Using the Chantilly Papers

Here I am...back with more Chantilly artwork I hope you enjoyed the little break from my Chantilly series with my niece's wedding sign in book on Friday's post. I had so much fun making it for her. You can go back to this post and this post to see more Chantilly artwork if you missed it last week.

This layout was inspired by the one page layout you see on page 19 of the Spring/Summer Idea Book. I fell in love with this layout when I saw it and wanted to re-create it in a 2-page spread.  The reason that this layout has no photos on it is that I created it as a reward for those in my downline who reached a challenge a few months ago. I try to run fun challenges for my team every few months that help them have a little something extra to work toward.  Join my team and start working toward some of those rewards yourself!

Here are a few detail shots of the layout:

Want to make the layout yourself?  Well, just order the products from the 'products used' list below on my website and then use the cutting guide I created for you below. Easy, peasy!

CTMH products used:  Pear Stamp Pad, Chantilly Paper Pack, White Daisy Cardstock, Chantilly Assortment, Chantilly Textiles (cut two 2" x 24" strips and gather for the ruffles), Hollyhock Zipper Lace (temporarily unavailable because so many people have loved it that we ran out. Don't worry! It will be available again soon!), Pink Glitter Gems, Pink Button Assortment, Notable Alphabet Dimensional Elements, Colonial White Waxy Flax, Round Sponge (used with Pear Stamp Pad to color the Dimensional Elements letters). All of these products can be purchased on my website, 24/7!

Cutting Guide.  Please ignore the fact that it says "Team Meeting 1/26/2013" on it (I also used this for a team meeting with my downline). To see this cutting guide larger, just click on it then you can save it to your desktop and print it to use on your layout.

Have a Chantilly kind of day!

P.S. This is one of the three 2-page layouts we will be making in my Play Group Scrappin' classes in August!

"Home is...." Layout

Be sure to check out yesterday's post to find out where Dawson is going on his mission (every time I say that I hum the 'Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" song) and to find out who our lucky winner is!

Today I am sharing a one-page layout I made with the lovely February Stamp of the Month (Home Sweet Home). I love the sweet sentiments in this set and had fun combining them with the delightful (hi, Louise! "Delightful" is Louise's favorite word) papers in the new Chantilly collection.

I thought the "HOME IS WHEREVER I'm With YOU!" sentiment was perfect for this photo of Dan-the-Man and me...especially since I truly feel that way. I would follow this man anywhere.
February Stamp of the Month: carrier sheet actual size is 6" x 6"
This stamp set can be yours for only $5 (during Feb. only) with a $50 purchase (before shipping and tax).  You can call or email me to order, or order on my website for ease and convenience. You'll be prompted to add this set before you check out.

Close To My Heart products used on this layout:  February Stamp of the Month, Chantilly Paper Packet, Buttercup Cardstock, Slate CardstockPear Stamp Pad, Slate Stamp Pad, Hollyhock Stamp Pad, Pink Button Collection, Neutral Twine Collection, Round Sponge, 3D Foam Tape, Sweet Leaf Ribbon (retired).
