A Cupcake Card and a Fun Close To My Heart Event

How cute is this card? We'll talk about that in just a minute (get the stamp set and die cuts I used to make it FREE in March!).  First, let's talk about some serious fun that was had last weekend...

This past Saturday was a very special event with Close To My Heart. We have a brand new mini-catalog coming out on May 1. Close To My Heart Consultants get to see that publication early and even order from it a whole month ahead of customers (just one of the awesome perks of being a CTMH Consultant).

Quite often, when a new mini-catalog is debuting, Close To My Heart has what they call "Launch Events" across the US, Canada and Australia.  Consultants can come and see new things, and make beautiful new projects using the new products in the catalog.  How cool is that?

There were launch events in many cities across the US, and one of them was right near me...in Salt Lake City, UT. I had 21 of my team members attend with me.  In addition, I had team members across the country attending launch events in Anaheim, CA, Sacramento, CA, Andover, MA, Bloomington, MI, Detroit, MI, San Antonio, TX, St. Louis, MO and Alexandria, VA.  In total, 54 of my team members got to experience a launch event, many for the very first time! I have been inundated with messages from first-timers telling me how much they loved every second.  Here are several photos of my team members having a great time!

In Salt Lake City, our day began on Saturday with a team lunch. Unfortunately not everyone who was attending the Launch Event was able to be there early enough for the lunch, but there were still several of us there. We even got our own private room and enjoyed visiting, laughing, and anticipating the new product we would be seeing and playing with in just a couple short hours.

Here we are at our private lunch at Shula's.  You can see my eye in the bottom right hand corner. This is the only photo that day that I am actually in. I was too busy taking photos of all of my team members to actually be in one!
Did you know that if you join my team as a Close To My Heart Consultant, you not only get access to amazing events like these, but you get an awesome discount on your own purchases, AND a very generous commission on your sales? If you choose to build a team like I have, you also earn great overrides on their sales.   And, if you join in March (only 3 days left!), in addition to the inexpensive $75 New Consultant Kit (which is valued at over $200!), you also get this darling Sweet Birthday stamp set and matching die cuts for FREE!  Feel free to contact me with any questions (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com), or just click here to sign up in a jiffy.  Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy!

I created the 3.5" x 8" card at the very top of this post with this stamp set and dies. Here's a detail shot of the cupcake and candle on the card:

I embossed the cupcake and candle in gold, then used my watercolor paints to softly add color.  I've included a list of all of the products I used on this card, complete with photos and links to the products, at the very end of this post for your convenience.

I'd love to have you join my team! We not only enjoy awesome commissions and discounts, but have such a great time together doing it!

Teacup Card and a Card Sketch

Are you always looking for ways to use up paper scraps? Well, this card is the perfect solution!  I'll even give you the exact measurements of everything on this card so you can use the pattern to create one of your own, but first...let's talk about that darling stamp set!

It's called Tea-rrific, and it's the March Stamp of the Month. With today being March 27, that means you only have 5 more days (Friday is the last day of March) to get this baby.  It's yours for only $5 ($12.95 savings) with every $50 you purchase (before shipping and tax).  Order $100, get 2...and so on. When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add your set(s) before checking out.  Tea-rrific!

I stamped my teacup and sentiment in our Memento Black Pad. I love this pad for anything I'm going to be coloring in, whether with markers, pencils, watercolor paints (which I used on this card), or any other medium, because once it's dry, it really doesn't smear. That's important!

Now let's move on to the card measurements.  I thought I'd get a little fancy today and create a sketch.  How 'bout them apples?  I'm pretty proud of myself!  In addition to the sketch below, I've also listed all of the products I used, complete with photos and links, at the very end of this post.

Happy card making!  If you make something using my sketch, I'd love to see it!  You can email it to me at pedermom@aol.com.  If you do (and you live in the United States), I'll even send you a hand stamped card (please be sure to give me your mailing address in the email). Also, I might just even post some of the card photos you send me made with this sketch.  Be sure to email me the photo of your card no later than March 31 (Friday).

Die Cuts 25% Off and 3 Cards

Did you remember that our die cuts (Thin Cuts) are all 25% off this month?  If not, aren't you glad I reminded you?  😉

I'll be sharing a few cards today that use Thin Cuts and sharing what cuts I used and what the discounted price is. Deal?

First off is the 5" x 7" Love card at the top of the post.  I used two thin cuts on this card:

The Love Thin Cut (measures approximately 4.5" wide and 2.5" tall. The Love Thin Cut is usually $10.95 and is on sale in March only for $8.21.

And the Hearts Thin Cuts (small heart is approx 1.25" tall, medium heart is approximately 2" tall, and large heart is approx. 3" tall). One of my favorite things about the Hearts Thin Cuts is that you not only get the center of the heart, like you see on this card (I used the center of the medium heart), but you also get the heart outlines (which you'll see in the next card).  The Hearts Thin Cuts are regularly $14.95 and are on sale in March only for $11.21.

Here's another fun card (this one is a 6" x 6" card) I created that uses the Thin Cut Hearts outer borders.  On this card I used the borders from the small and medium sized hearts.

Just for fun, here's  one more card I created using the Hearts Thin Cuts. This one is a standard sized card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"):

In addition to these awesome die cuts, there are many more on sale at 25% off this month. Click here to see the whole selection.

I've included a list of all of the products I used on these three cards at the very end of this post, complete with links and photos for your convenience.  Have fun shopping! And, don't forget that if you order $50 or more (before shipping and tax), this stamp set (March Stamp of the Month - Tea-rrific) is only $5 this month.  You'll be prompted to add it to your order before you check out.
