Happy Mail and Stampaganza

I have been receiving happy mail by the boat load the last couple of weeks. Since our granddaughter, Livvi's leukemia diagnosis, so many of the ladies on my Close To My Heart team (The Pacemakers...'cause we keep THE HEART {as in Close To My Heart} pumpin'!) have been showering me with beautiful handmade cards with the sweetest handwritten notes of comfort and encouragement inside.  I truly have the best team around.

I thought I'd share one of the cards I got yesterday with you. This was created by Mary Newman. Isn't it gorgeous?!!!  The floral stamp set she is used is one of my favorites!  It's called Springtime Wishes.

This month is a great time to get it with Stampaganza going on (for every 2 stamp sets you purchase, you get the third of equal or lesser value for FREE!).  Stampaganza ends at 11:59 pm (MT) on March 31.  When ordering on my website, just put in all of the stamp sets (and everything else) you want, and before you pay, the lowest prices set(s) will be zeroed out on your order. Easy peasy!

Don't you love how Mary looped the twine under the flowers? I do!  And those colors...breathtaking!  She used the Charlotte Paper Packet.

Happy Mail!

I love it when I walk out to the mailbox and there is happy mail waiting for me.  This beautiful card arrived from on of my team members, Brenda Rose this week. THANK YOU, Brenda for the beautiful card and the very sweet note! You mean so much to me!

Below is a photo of the two of us at the Close To My Heart annual convention a couple of weeks ago and below that is a detail shot of the card.

Happy Mail and Happy Birthday, Dawson!

Last week I went to the mail box and lo and behold, what did I find there?  A BEAUTIFUL card from my dear friend and downline, Brenda Rose.   This card has so many yummy details that I sat and stared at it for a while before I even opened it up to read the note (which, by the way, was just as beautiful as the card).  Thank you, Brenda! I  love it!

Here's a little detail shot:

Yesterday  was my "baby," Dawson Danner Pedersen's birthday.  He's 19 years old.  I can't believe it! Where did the time go?  To celebrate, Dawson, Dan-the-Man and I went shopping on Friday for more things he needs for his mission to Australia, went to the new movie 42 (I highly recommend it!) and to dinner at Olive Garden.  Yesterday, on his actual birthday, we had his grandparents over for dinner. Dawson chose chicken enchiladas, green salad, fresh fruit, deviled eggs (I know that doesn't really go with the dinner, but he wanted them anyway.  Birthday boy ruled.), chips and salsa and Spanish rice. Yum!  Instead of a birthday cake he wanted Scotcheroos.  Again, his wish was my command.  It was a great dinner. The only thing that would have made the meal better was having all of our other kids and their families in town to share it too. You can find my recipes for the following things at these links:  Chicken Enchiladas, Deviled Eggs, Scotcheroos.

I had to take a little walk down Dawson Memory Lane today. Please indulge me...

Have a great week! I'm headed out of town on business so you probably won't hear from me for a few days.

July Stamp of the Month Happy Mail Card

As you can tell, I am LOVIN' the July Stamp of the Month. My friend and downline, Brenda Rose sent me this 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card last week. THANK YOU, Brenda. I love it! You are so thoughtful and there are so many fun details on this card; like the clear button tied with waxy flax, and the fussy cut stars topped with sparkles in their centers, and the double layered star focal point, the items you popped with 3D foam tape, and how you cleverly used both sides of the same patterned paper duo! You have such an attention to detail.

Scrapbooking Clearance Sale and Happy Mail from Nicole, and only 5 More Days!

As always, you can click on any photo in this post to see it larger and in more detail.

1. More new items were added to the "While Supplies Last" section of my website yesterday. There are some screamin' deals to be had, but only while supplies last. My fave are these "Pretty Pins" for only $2. Below is a photo of a card I made with them in April before Easter. I love the way they bring in the perfect little accent to this bunny card. There are items on my site today as low as $1!

2. At the top of the post today, I shared a beautiful card my friend and downline, Nicole made for me a couple of weeks ago. GORGEOUS, Nicole! The chocolates that came along with it were divine as well! Since they disappeared within 24 hours of receiving them, I cannot share a photo of them. You'll all just have to imagine the chocolatey goodness!

Close To My Heart products that Nicole used on her card: Splendor Level 2 Paper Pack (retired), Clear Cards-4 1/2" Assortment (I love these! See how Nicole layered some of the papers on the outside of the card and some on the inside so that when it's closed it looks like it's all layered on front, but when you open it you see that there are some things on the outside and some on the inside? I love how creative you can get with these clear cards!), Rustic Alphabet Stamp Set, A Posey Stamp Set, Goldrush Stamp Pad, Moonstruck Stamp Pad, Heavenly Blue Stamp Pad, Topiary Stamp Pad, Corner Rounder, Round Sponge, Basic Brad Assortment, Colonial White Mini-Medley Accessories Collection.

3. While you're shoppin', don't forget that there are only 5 days left in National Scrapbooking Month. That means only 5 more days to get the GORGEOUS "You and Me" kit. Click here for details. Along with this great kit, CTMH is also offering the New Consultant Kit for only $64.50 this month (1/2 off the normal price to sign up) so there are only 5 more days for that as well. I'd love to have you join my team. Just head to my website, click on "Your Opportunities" and then follow the prompts.

Happy Mail from Allison B.

Yesterday I mentioned that I would share some more Happy Mail today. Friday night, after spending the day in Springville getting Dawson registered in school, transferring our utilities, etc. I was exhausted and little bit emotional, I came home to the BESTEST surprise on my doorstep.

THANK YOU, Allison (isn't she the cutest?) for the gorgeous tulips, which felt like Spring amidst all the snow, for the yummy Cadbury eggs (my fave!) and the beautiful hand-made card. Thank you even more for your wonderful friendship. I will miss having you less than a block away. I'll miss our monthly visits. When I was released as the Relief Society President (women's organization) at church last Summer, Allison took my place. She has done a wonderful job, and this is a girl with 5 small children and a hubby that works long hours. I don't know how she does it! If we weren't close enough friends already, sharing this Relief Society experience has bonded us for a lifetime.

Allison used the Sophia Papers from Close To My Heart to make this gorgeous card. You can order those papers and so many more wonderful products on my website.

Side-note: I was so proud of my Dawsie-Boy (No, he does not love it when I call him that. Yes, I still do it anyway.) on Friday. He was so positive about the whole thing. After we got him all registered at Springville High School, we walked around the school to help him figure out where his classes were and so many kids stopped and met him and introduced themselves. The administrators couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. It was a great experience and Dawson has such a positive outlook on moving and changing high schools. Yeah, Dawsie-Boy! Thanks for setting a wonderful example for your old mom!
