Hedgehog Card Using the National Stamping Month Triple Stamp Set

I've been playing with the "You Are My Happy" National Stamping Month triple stamp set and I am having so much fun creating simple but darling (okay, I think they are darling! lol) cards with it.

Here are a few details of how I created this 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card:

• I stamped my icon and sentiment (from the National Stamping Month "You Are Happy" triple stamp set) in Black Archival Ink on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of White Daisy Cardstock
• I stamped the icon again on a scratch piece of White Daisy Cardstock
• I outlined the edge of the 4" x 5 1/4" square, using a ruler, about 1/8" in with a black archival pen (.03 size)
• I then colored the cute little hedgehog with my trusty Watercolor Pencils.  I love how you can create such depth with them, so easily.
• I cut out the fluffy part of the hedgehog (whatever that is really called) on the hedgie I stamped on my scratch sheet and used 3D Foam Tape to attach it (you can see that better in the detail shot above).  Now would be a great time to mention our new non-stick scissors, so I think I will.   They are perfect for cutting 3D Foam tape, or anything sticky. In fact, I use them for EVERYTHING! I love 'em!
• I mounted this on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Saddle Cardstock.
• I then mounted that on a standard size white card from our White Daisy Cards and Envelopes Value Pack.

JOY Card using the September Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart

I have had so much fun playing with the subway art inspired September Stamp of the Month, "Poster Tidings."  Today I thought I'd share a card I made using this hip set.  You'll notice that on this 3.5" x 8" card I stamped the Christmas inspired stamp in Juniper. I then stamped it again in Cranberry and cut out the "Joy" from that image and put it on top of the Juniper "Joy." Cool beans. There are so many things you can do with this set.

To make my snowflake sparkly, I painted it with our pearl paint and then sprinkled some prisma glitter on top.  The more sparkle the better, I always say!  You can see a full "supplies used" list at the end of this post.

September Play Group Scrappin' Class Layouts (Laughing Lola)

I left one week ago today for Cedar City, UT to be there for our son, Tannon as he had shoulder surgery. It was something we knew was coming but it was Tuesday when they scheduled the surgery for Wednesday. Crazy sauce!  It ended up being much more complicated than they thought, which made for a very helpless and in pain Tannon. I am home again and ready to blog! Thanks for your patience!
