April Stamp of the Month and Shooting with the Family

April is here and no foolin', this month's Stamp of the Month by Close To My Heart is a good 'un!

Remember Schultz from that old television show, "Hogan's Heroes?"  Dan-the-Man, my goofy hubby sure does.  When shopping in the Army surplus store not long ago, he channeled Schultz. Hilarious!  The April Stamp of the Month (15 stamp set called "You are...") was fun to use to create this layout.

This stamp set is a very versatile set for both scrapbooking and card making.  I love the two background stamps, the border stamps, and the big words.

If you spend $50, this set is yours for only $5 (a $17.95 value). You also have the option to purchase it for $17.95. Either way, it's only available during the month of April.  You can order it through me (801.360.9896, pedermom@aol.com) or through my website. Once your spend $50, you will be prompted to add it, or if you are purchasing it for the $17.95 price, enter item #S1204.

Here are a few close-ups of the layout:

I will list all supplies used on the layout at the end of the post but before I do that I had to share a little of what we did this weekend. Dan, Dawson and I traveled to Cedar City to watch Easton play in a spring scrimmage.   It was lots of fun. Afterward we all went out for lunch and then up in the mountains to shoot guns before we headed home. Dan and the boys love to shoot, so Daysha and I decided to join in the fun.  We really did have a fun time. The setting was gorgeous; up in the red rock mountains around Cedar City.  It's times like this, when we are together, that I wish ALL of us lived close. It's sad to me that Kori and her family are so far away in Chicago,  and nostalgic thinking how much fun Tannon (who is on a mission for our church in Spain) would have had with us all.  I guess the times we are apart just make the times we are together that much sweeter.

Bond, Dawson Bond.
Me, looking like a pro. At least I like to think so. Ha!
Even with ear plugs those guns are loud! Daysha looks so tiny next to Easton!

Daysha was in charge of gathering as much 'junk' as she could find for us to shoot. She was proud of her stash.

I couldn't ask for a better family. I love them all so much!  Easton really couldn't have chosen a better wife.  Thanks for a fun day in Cedar City, Easton and Daysha.

Close To My Heart products used on the layout:  April Stamp of the Month (You are), Victory Level 2 Paper Pack, Chocolate Stamp Pad, Foundry Metal Binder Clips, Pewter Designer Brads (retired, but our Pewter Badge Buttons are almost identical), Metal Brad Assortment, Blue Striped Ribbon (retired), 3D Foam Tape.

Love your layout :) and love how you captured this "simple" yet interesting fact in your daily lives! Also, I had to mention about the shooting...that is one of our family's favorite pastimes as well!! It is a lot of fun, but it is quite challenging too! Thanks for sharing a glimpse into your family's lives! :)
