Autumn Love Card with Mojo Monday

7" x 5" card by Karen Pedersen
How about a little Fall, y'all?  To create this card, I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch (#361) and created the ombre hearts after watching this tutorial video from Jennifer McGuire. I love that there are so many fun places out there to gain inspiration!  All of the products I used on this card are listed at the end of this post with links to each of them on my website.

The stamp set I used is the September Stamp of the Month (Family is Forever) from Close To My Heart. As you may or may not know, CTMH creates an exclusive set each month that you can only get that month.  For every $50 you spend (before shipping and tax), you get one of these puppies for only $5 ($17.95 value).  Spend $100, get two, and so on.  When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add your set(s) before you check out.

Tip #1:  See those cute little green sparklies?  They used to be clear. A fun tip is to use our new alcohol markers to custom color them any color you want.  I used the Sap Green marker for these.  Just color them while they are still on their carrier sheet, let them dry for a few seconds, then use.

Tip #2:  When I thought I was finished with this card I gave it a once-over and decided the word "Love" didn't stand out as much as I wanted it to. No problem!  Liquid Glass to the rescue.  I just traced the word with liquid glass (I did it pretty thickly so the word would pop like it was embossed), let it dry, and my "Love" popped like I wanted it to.  Want something to pop on your project?  Odds are Liquid Glass is the answer.

Here's a little close of up the ombre heart. Pretty cool, right?  Thanks, Jennifer McGuire!
