Sunflower Card: "Friendship Bouquet"

Yep, I'm still alive.  I got a new job at church a week ago and this past week has been spent organizing, training, and just getting the show on the road.  I am now in charge of all of the young women, aged 12-18 in our church. I'm excited as I already worked with these girls and love them, but it is a job that is weighing heavily on my shoulders right now as I begin a new adventure as President.  Thanks for understanding my lack of  posts last week.

Today I have another May Stamp of the Month card to share. I just love the beautiful flowers in this set and have had so much fun coloring them!
May Stamp of the Month - Friendship Bouquet

This stamp set is available during May only and can be yours for as little as $5 ($17.95 value).  Don't forget that the Dotty For You paper pack is also available to you through the rest of May only. It can also be yours for only $5 ($19.95 value).

I colored the flowers and leaves on this card with my watercolor pencils but didn't blend with water. I just love the soft blending you are able to do with them without even needing water. Cool beans.

The doily I colored by putting several drops of desert sand re-inker in our spray pen then adding a bit of water and spraying. Love that spray pen!

I also coated the centers of my flowers with liquid glass.  I love liquid glass for not only enhancing parts of images, like I did on this card, but it's also a fabulous adhesive for chipboard pieces!

Close To My Heart products used:  May Stamp of the Month (Friendship Bouquet), Pemberly Paper Pack, Cocoa Stamp Pad, Desert Sand Re-inker, Blue Ribbon Collection, Watercolor Pencils, Liquid Glass, Spray Pen, 3D Foam Tape.

You can order these and other wonderful products on my website, 24/7!

Congrats on the new calling. Young Women's is soooo fun but it is also a ton of work and very time consuming.

Great card. Great tips. I too love that spray pen and liquid glass.

Karen ~ I too just got called as young womens president in my ward a few months ago. I have been in young womens for most of the 13 years we have lived in this ward so I thought it was going to be a piece of cake! HAAA! I was wrong BUT I am loving every minute of it. I have found that my love of crafts and scrapbooking have come in handy for all of our big events. LOL! Good luck in your new position. I love looking at all of your creations! See you at convention.
