4 Fathers I Love

How did one girl get so lucky? I have yet to figure it out. There have 4 wonderful men in my life that I want to honor today, on Father's Day.

Having a husband who is not only the best husband ever, but everything I could have ever hoped for as a father to our children is really what I hoped for my whole life, what I dreamed of as a little girl when I would lay in bed and wonder who I would marry and what he would be like. Dan has been an 'equal opportunity parent' since the first child was born. He fed them, bathed them, changed their messy diapers, sang to them, put them to bed, coached them, tickled them, read to them, gave them blessings, baptized them, laughed with them, cried with them, and loved them. THANK YOU, Dan my man for being the father you are.

My father, LeRoy Overstreet is my hero. He never let me say "can't" growing up. He helped me to learn that I can accomplish anything if I am willing to do what it takes to get there. He has not only taught me that by word, but by example as well. Thanks, Dad for helping me learn to pitch in the back yard in New Mexico, for teaching me how to shoot free throws and layups in a church gym in South Carolina, for always supporting me in my goals and endeavors, and for being the best dad I could have ever hoped for.

My father-in-law, Keith Pedersen in an unshakeable example to me of living what he believes and sharing his love of the gospel through his actions. Whether it's countless hours spent in his garden, full days at the geneology library, several days a week at the temple, or bearing his testimony to his grandchildren he is always stalwart, and mixes kindness and charity into all of that as well. Thank you for being a wonderful father-in-law, for raising the man of my dreams, and for loving your grandchildren.

And last but not least, Rick. What a sweet daddy you are to our little Daci. I love watching the way you look at her, the way you love her, and seeing the father that I know you will be. Thanks for marrying our daughter, for loving her, and for being everything we could have ever hoped for in a son-in-law and daddy to our grandbabies.
