Color Me Monday and Mojo Monday (on Wednesday!)

There are two really cool things that happen on Mondays:

1. Jeanette Lynton posts an awesome color combo on her blog called "Color Me Monday". This week the color combo she chose (Close To My Heart colors) was Indian Corn Blue, Taffy, Sorbet and White Daisy. She always shares to die for artwork using the combo so be sure to check out her post from 5/18/09.

2. Mojo Monday is a fun blog that posts a sketch each week that you can follow to create a card. I loved this week's sketch and decided to use it with Jeanette's color combo.

So, although it took me 2 days to get to it, I finally sat down this afternoon and created. I hope you like! I took the photo outside on the grass after seeing my friend, Brenda's post on her blog this morning. she took a photo of some of her artwork outside near some greenery in her yard and it felt so fresh and summery. Thanks for the inspiration, Brenda!

Very, very cute card. The button and the bow give so much personality to the little bird. :)

THANKS everyone! I had fun with this card, and as the color combo was something really different from the colors I usually gravitate toward, it was good 'creative stretching' for me!
